Ray is a 6 year old boxer mix that has been at the shelter the longest of any of our dogs. in spite of his age, he still has a lot of energy to run and play.He has completed his training at Jeff City Correctional Center and ready to go! Here are a few things they learned about Ray. He seems to have some vision problems with his right eye. It comes from his difficult past before he came to the shelter. It is best to feed him treats from the left so he can see you clearly and get the treat and not your fingers. He LOVES a good game of fetch, but hates giving up the ball to give back to you. If you show him another ball, though, he will release the first one. He does enjoy attention and affection and readily gives affection back. He is good with people and dogs, but needs to learn to trust and take some time to warm up to strangers and new dogs. Once he does warm up, he is very attentive.
