Story
Handsome Max is a 2 year old purebred Boxer. He is everything you expect from the breed, very friendly and has never heard of personal space. This 58 lb boy is a super sweet and an extremely loving lap dog. The minute you make eye contact with Max, the tail is wagging and with a few pets and some conversation the tail wagging develops into a full body wag!  This boy LOVES his people! Sounds like a fantastic boy right? Keep reading for more awesomeness! Max will greet you when you arrive home by leaping into the air with all 4 feet off the ground and snorting in excitement but while he doesn't jump up on people, he will lean his full body weight against you to cuddle! He is a playful dog and enjoys the company of the other dogs in his foster home., so would be a great fit for another active dog to play with.  He has been friendly and well behaved meeting small children and did previously live with them in his original home. Bonus Max is housebroken,  leash trained, crate trained and loves car rides. So if you want a buddy to run errands with this is your guy! Max is well behaved and not destructive in the house when allowed to roam freely. He might enjoy spending time in a fenced yard if the weather was warmer, but so far in the colder weather Max has preferred short potty breaks. His biggest need is a family who can provide him with plenty of love and attention.  Max is up to date on all vaccinations, is neutered, microchipped and HW negative and as all our pets must be an Inside Dog Only! So if you've got lots of love, get Max by applying at www.HavenAnimalRescueNebraska.org.  DONATION ADOPTION: $450    PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. Story
Brick joined our family in September 2024 as a rescue from the humane society. Brick is a goofy boy that loves to play and snuggle. He thinks he is a lap dog, even though he is 65lbs. Our family loves brick, however he is unpredictable with children and has nipped at our 8 year old, due to resource guarding. He is completely protective of me. He is a smart boy and listens so well, we just cannot have him scare us and our daughter in our home.

Story
Meet Korva – A Special Soul Looking for a Forever HomeHi there! I’m Korva, a 7-year-old deaf Boxer mix, and if you’re looking for a dog with a ton of personality, that’s me! I’ve got a zest for life that never fades – every day feels like an adventure, and I’m ready to share it with the right person.I might not hear your voice, but I sure know how to make you smile! I’ve got energy to spare and will never turn down an opportunity to play, explore, or, my personal favorite, show off my amazing army crawl. Watch me slide across the grass like I’m sneaking through a secret mission – it’s pretty adorable, if I do say so myself!I absolutely love attention and treats! I’ll shower you with all the love and affection in the world, especially if you’ve got something yummy for me. But here’s the thing – I’m a special girl. Since I can’t hear, I’ll need to be taught my commands using sign language. It might take a little extra patience, but trust me – I’m totally worth it. I may need some extra training, but every step we take together will be full of love and laughter.I’ll admit – I might be a bit of a challenge to adopt, but I promise that if you give me a chance, I’ll be the most loyal, fun, and loving companion you could ever ask for. However, I do have one little quirk – I’m not a fan of small dogs. Big dogs are typically no problem, but little dogs? They’re just not my thing, and I’d prefer to be in a home without them. I know that might limit my options, but for the right person, I’ll be a perfect fit.I’m living in a shelter kennel right now, and honestly, I’m getting a little tired of the same four walls. I dream of having my very own home where I can stretch out on a cozy bed, play in the yard, and show off my belly crawl in a place that’s mine. I know the right person is out there, and maybe you are the one who will see how special I am.If you’re ready to take on an energetic, quirky, and loving girl like me, I can’t wait to meet you. Let’s make some unforgettable memories together – you won’t regret it!
