Story
This is Zeus! He about 10 years old. Zeus is very loving with big humans once he gets to know them. But, he is aggressive with unfamiliar dogs. He was attacked by an unleashed dog when he was younger and ever since has been triggered by them. He has attacked two dogs after his initial incident. Since then my parents have done the best they can to keep him separated from other dogs so he could continue to have a good life. However, my parents are now raising a toddler and the stress of having an aggressive/unpredictable dog, who has never been around toddlers, has become overwhelming and because of this we are looking for a new home. Zeus loves to be outside but his outside time has been limited due to unleashed dogs roaming freely around our neighborhood. We would love for him to find a home with a gated yard so he can bask in the sun as much as his heart desires and be with people who continue loving him like we do.

Cash is soon to be "paw-roled" from our Paws in the Pen program in partnership with the New Mexico Corrections Department! Each dog is paired with two inmate trainers and enrolled in an 8-week training program that is designed to equip the dog with a nice foundation of training that will help them succeed in their new home. Each of these dogs will go home potty and crate trained with a whole list of cues and basic behaviors; to ensure a successful adoption, we are providing four training sessions to adopters, so you can learn what your dog knows, and an invitation to weekly discounted drop-in classes. These dogs also go home with a biothane leash and collar, 6 months of heartworm prevention, are fully up-to-date on all vaccines and medications, and are spayed and neutered.Cash's trainer in the program says he's has been the easiest dog he's trained so far, and that he has two speeds - slow, and slower. LoL Except of course when there's a ball involved! Cash is a real snuggle bug love muffin, and more than anything, he loves to play fetch and tug of war. He's doing great in his training and is as cute as can be. Cash would do best as the only male dog in the home, and would make an excellent addition to an active family who enjoys lots of outdoor activities, followed by relaxing on the couch.
