Story
After a run in with a bee the morning of her first scheduled spay - Roxy was cleared and spayed last week which means this amazing full of life and love little girl is ready to find a family to call her own. Roxy was found abandoned and was very emaciated but even though failed by humans - her love for people never quit shining. She is estimated to be 1-2 years old , her current weight is 37 pounds - so she is a small petite little girl and we honestly do not know what her breed it - that face and her personality screams boxer but something smaller in there as well. She is great with kids, has met a kitten and did well and Roxy would love to have other active dogs in her new forever home as she loves loves loves to play. With patience and consistency from her amazing foster Mom, Ashley, she learned housebreaking quickly. She would really benefit from an active family with kids and other dogs to play with. And she loves loves loves her toys - so toys are a must in her new home. Are you interested in adding this special girl to your family - head on over to our website www.boxerbuttsandothermutts.org and fill out one of our adoption applications. Roxy is current on vaccines, spayed, microchipped, dewormed, has had a full blood panel done , a 4DX Heartworm Test and is current on her monthly heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention. Her adoption fee is $250.00 We do NOT set up meet and greets until your application has been received and reviewed. And we do not have a facility - all of our dogs are in private foster homes located in Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina.

Story
Hi my name is Sven! I am roughly 9 months old and I came from the Humane Society. I have a 3.5 year old human sister that I’m not very fond of (I would do best in a home with no children or older children). My moms didn’t know how that I would be this big where I would do better with a yard or lots of long walks or hikes. I am a smart boy, I can sit, wait, shake with both paws, up, and will wait to eat until I am told. I am mostly house trained and I am kennel trained. I can be left alone in my kennel for several hours at a time even though I would love to go with you everywhere you go! I am an excellent car rider. I think all dogs and cats are my friends. I get really excited when people come over and I haven’t learned yet not to jump on people when I want greet them with all my love and affection.

Story
Snorkel is fun and loving. However, he’s too big to play with cats so would be best in a cat-free home. He loves to be played with and he loves to love and snuggle. Snorkel needs a house with a yard. He gets along with everybody - adults, kids, dogs and cats. Snorkel was rescued from an abusive home but is a very good boy. Snorkel cannot be chained and he was clearly hit when he was abused. Snorkel is house-trained and will bark when he needs to use the bathroom. He has to be fed separately from any other pets. He loves treats and laying on pillows.

Story
1.5 years old, 45 lbs., female, boxer mix. We rescued Nala when she was about 6 months old from an abusive environment. She was weak, thin, and needed vet care when we got her. We nursed her back to life. We took her on long walks on our property & in the Pisgah National Forest with our other two dogs daily. She grew before our eyes into a vibrant, playful, strong, athletic dog. There’s a small lake in our community where she loves to swim and literally splash around in. She loves to fetch & retrieve sticks you throw in the lake. She’s a quick learner, & wants to please, so she’s incredibly responsive to positive reinforcement. She’s super affectionate as well. Great watch dog & is excellent on recall. She can be resource aggressive, probably due to her previous environment & would do better if she were the only dog. She needs regular exercise. She would make a wonderful companion for someone who loves the outdoors - hiking, mountain biking, jogging, & definitely swimming,

Story
Meet Kody! Even though this sweet pup has been with a loving foster family for several months now, he still manages to surprise us every now and then with a new character trait that is quite adorable! A recent adventure has really left us smiling. When a plumber inadvertently left the gate unlatched, Kody decided to go exploring on his own for several hours. When he returned to his much relieved foster dad, Kody proudly and delightfully introduced dad to the stray pup he had found in the woods. Obviously a very responsible and empathetic dog, Kody didn't want the poor lost pup to spend a miserable night out in the rain. So he invited him home. Kody the gracious host! Check out the pics of Kody sharing his home and human with a scared pup. Heart-warming! Handsome Kody is an athletic and muscular little guy who can hold his own with the big dogs, but is still compact enough to snuggle on you lap or cradle in your arms. Kody is estimated to be an 18-24 month old Boxer/Staffie. A confident and curious pup, he has proven to be both affectionate and eager to learn. The perfect gentleman in his crate, Kody understands "down time" and relaxes with the best of them. But when it's time to play, this happy boy is ready for any adventure. He’s a pro on car rides both long and short, and doesn't pester the driver for attention. He'll just sit there quietly, contemplating the great adventures that await him! Kody has several dog siblings in his foster home, large and small, and get along extremely well with them. He can be a bit nervous and selective when first meeting new doggo friends, so a slow pack walk on neutral territory is the best way to introduce this sweet boy to potential "canine forever friends." Story
HEY! Athena here. I am a big kind of gal but please don`t let that stop you from meeting me. I love everyone I meet with my whole self. I am the definition of a family dog. I would love to be included in everything you do; walks in the park, grilling out in the backyard, playtime with the kids... I am always ready! I have done well with other dogs in the past and would love to meet any siblings here at the shelter before going home. What do you think? Can I be your next addition?
