Story
Breed: Boxer / American Bulldog? maybe? Size: Large; currently 70+ lbs Estimated Birthday: 3/2/2020 House-Trained: Yes ---------- Crate-Trained: Yes, and kennels on command! Kid-Friendly: Needs a home with kids over 12 years This sweet girl came to the rescue in need of bowel obstruction surgery after she thought a sock was a yummy snack. She made it through surgery and has been recovering nicely! Bella Vida is quite shy and a bit hesitant to open up to new people, so she is looking for a patient family that will give her time and let her know she is safe. Bella Vida is selective with her dog friends and may do better with male dogs. She is looking for a house with no small children and would thrive with an active family with older kids. Bella Vida loves to go on daily walks and will play fetch for hours! She will always follow up these play sessions with a cuddle session on the couch. She loves deconstructing stuffed toys and sometimes her bedding. We would recommend caution in allowing Bella Vida unsupervised access to toys due to her recent sock-eating debacle. Before emailing- please read: - Yes, this dog is available for adoption - The adoption fee for Bella Vida is $365 - Apply at c2cnd.org - The adoption fee covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, spay/neuter, and any other medical expenses while in our care. - Local adopters only. Due to our thorough adoption process including home visits, we limit our adoptions to local families in the greater Charlotte area. - If you have any additional questions, email us at dogs@c2cnd.org and we will respond as soon as possible!

Story
Well hello MINNIE! Quick Facts: Breed: Boxer X Age: 7-8 years old (as of 2/2024) Weight: Around 50# House/Crate Trained: Yes & Yes! This sweet soul was an owner surrender to a shelter, severely underweight at a mere 30#. As a result, Minnie was diagnosed with EPI - exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, and will need to eat dog food for sensitive stomachs, sprinkled with an enzyme powder that allows her body to absorb and digest the food she's eating. She LOVES to run and play with the other dogs in her foster home. She has the world's best zoomies & will wrestle until her heart's content, BUT Minnie quickly falls victim to rainy days and nights, turning into a couch potato at the first sign of precipitation or at sundown, whichever comes first. She will curl up on the couch next to her favorite person and chew on a bone/toy while binging your favorite shows. She is so incredibly loving and so so happy. This girl enjoys long walks or car rides that lead to the park or snacks. But one thing Minnie does NOT enjoy is the thought of sharing her snacks or food (Same, Minnie, same). While Minnie learns that food & snacks are now an unlimited resource, she will need to be fed separately & given treats separately from other animals. She can be a little protective of her bones when she's trying to relax, but has a tendency to only boss around the submissive ones in the house, leaving her head honcho foster brother out of the warnings. Minnie walks well on a leash, but pulls when she gets excited & will need continued training. She is house trained & crate trained, relaxing in there while her foster mom is out of the house. She has not been cat or kid tested. Before emailing- please read: - Yes, this dog is available for adoption - The adoption fee for Minnie is $265 - Apply at c2cnd.org - The adoption fee covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, spay/neuter, and any other medical expenses while in our care. - Local adopters only. Story
Meet the Ted Lasso crew! Rebecca Welton Estimated Birthday: 11/30/2023 Size: we are guessing this crew will be over 50lbs. Breed: mixed breed This litter will be available March 2nd but we are accepting applications now. Rebecca Welton has the different markings out of all her foster siblings with beautiful red tones in her face. She lives with dogs of all sizes from 7lbs to 70lbs and does well with them all. She enjoys stuffy toys and food. She enjoys romping and rolling with her foster siblings. They are the typical puppies, they eat a bunch, poop a lot, play hard and sleep even harder. They are all working on their house-training skills but you can expect to have to train the one you adopt! They are not fully crate-trained, but they are quick learners. Puppies require training, so these babies are no different. We highly encourage enrolling in a training program to teach your new addition good manners and to help him or her be well socialized. Please remember puppies demand a lot of your time and pets are a commitment for life. Please read the information below and if you have any further questions please EMAIL us at dogs@c2cnd.org and we will respond as soon as possible! If you're interested in adopting, please visit our website at www.c2cnd.org & complete the adoption application. -The adoption fee for Rebecca Welton is $365 -The adoption fee covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, heartworm test (if old enough to be tested & treatment if necessary), and spay/neuter. -Due to our thorough adoption process including home visits, we limit our adoptions to local families. Charlotte and surrounding cities only. We apologize for any inconvenience. **These puppies may contain pit bull. We have no information on their mom or dad.

Story
Boys just want to play, play, play. I am a 3 month old male boxer mix. I was a stray and ended up at the shelter. I am a big love bug and want to be with my human. I am loving playing with other dogs but they often do not like to me in their space. When that happens I go about my business. I want to please the humans and will be a quick learner when it comes to manners. I am going to need a fenced in yard to play around in. I would like to have a canine friend but if my human is active and wants to play I will be okay. Because I am young, I will need to work on training including housebreaking. I am doing well in a crate when I need to be but again I want to be next to my human. I am learning to play with toys and liking the toys. I am hoping I will find someone that will love me and play with me. I will need a lot os pets and treats. If this is your home fill out an application and someone will be in touch with you. If interested in giving Odie a forever home, please complete an application at www.safeanimalhaven.com.August 17, 2024, 12:06 am

Story
Larissa is a happy girl of 8 months. We believe she is a boxer/greyhound/bully mix. She came in with her sister. She currently weighs 42lbs, we believe she will be around 60lbs full grown. She loves to play with tennis balls, toys and other dogs. She is just happy to have food, play and a soft inside place to lay. She was an outside dog that had fly strikes on her ears (they have healed). She is house and crate trained.  If you are interested in adopting Larissa, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount isa suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.   **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **  August 18, 2024, 8:38 pm

Story
Sassy is approximately a 7 year old pitbull mix weighing about 60lbs. She is fully vaccinated and now looking for her forever family.  Despite some of her scars (a wonky ear), which tells a tale of survival, her spirits remain unbroken. She’s your typical pitty with so much love to give. She only gets sweeter by the day. She was found as a stray and has since been with her foster mom being completely spoiled, enjoying daily adventures in Charlotte, NC.  Sassy is such a love and truly is just happy being by your side. She loves a dog bed and settles quickly. She is easily entertained with bully sticks, benebones, and toys. She loves to sunbathe in the backyard and lay where ever the sun hits and will gladly accept a belly rub while doing so. She is crate trained, house trained, and sleeps quietly in the crate any time needed. She rides well in the car in a car kennel. She has a goofy personality with lots of silly behavior that will keep you laughing all day. She loves meal times and will come in from outside doing her “bunny hops”. Look out for her classic “sassy” lip smack. She is very gentle when taking treats and knows “Sit”like the back of her paw. She’s doing well with bath time and grooming. She loves going for car rides and taking walks to sniff all the new smells. Car rides and walks are definitely high on her list of favorite things (besides snacks). She is working with her foster mom, who is a dog trainer, on her loose-leash walk using a Herm Sprenger Prong Collar. Having a strong handler familiar with the breed to hold her accountable is recommended. She is also working on other commands like place, here, heel and wait. She does well passing other dogs. Sassy has high prey drive for small critters so she would do best in a home with no cats and at least a 6 foot fence. She’s done well with the other 2 year old female dog in the house. She can become over stimulated at first and likes to sniff intently but is easily redirected and will nicely coexist with some management. No barrier aggression while in a crate. She would likely do best with another neutral dog, medium sized or bigger, who doesn’t become over stimulated. Or fine as an only dog, so she can have all the attention!  While Sassy hasn’t spent much 1 on 1 time with kids, her friendly nature suggests she would be good with them. She has done well passing play grounds and athletic fields.  Sassy will come with 25% off any continued training for her that is signed up for with her foster mom. If you are interested in Sassy, please complete an adoption application at lastdaydogs.comAugust 14, 2024, 4:06 pm

Story
Meet Perl, a loving and friendly pitbull girl ready to play and cuddle. Perl is house trained and generally well behaved as a mature dog yet still as playful, energetic, and inquisitive as a puppy. She is completely deaf but understands hand signs and body language well and appears to have been trained by a previous owner. Perl would do best in a home with no cats and a fenced yard or with an owner that would be willing to exercise with her on a leash. She is excellent with other dogs and would likely appreciate a sister or brother. She currently has some separation anxiety but is improving quickly. Perl is very entertaining and knows no bounds when it comes to snuggles. Come meet your loyal and devoted Perl!   If you are interested in this special girl, please complete an adoption application at lastdaydogs.comAugust 14, 2024, 4:06 pm
