Story
We found Dottsy B. Starving and darting in and out of a busy intersection on Dec. 23, 2023. We took her to the vet and got her shots, flea and tick medicine, and heartworm meds. She will need to continue being treated for heartworms for 2-3 more months. . She has had a very hard start to life and was pitiful when we found her. She has put on several pounds since we have had her. Our two year old dog is very territorial and has fought her a few times so we are keeping them separated for now. Dottsy loves people!! Big lap dog and she loves treats and food! Now that she has been inside she doesn’t seem to want to spend a lot of time outside. She loves her cozy bed and blankets. She is about 55 pounds now. We have all her vet records we can give an adopter. She is precious and grunts like a pig when she is cozy and relaxed. I think a home with no kids or older kids would be best! She would also love (and need) to be your only pet! Please love her and send us updates!

Story
This is Norman! We also call him Norbert. He is a rescue that I brought home but my job has picked up and he needs more time than I can give him. He is an absolute perfect puppy with no behavioral problems. He so far isn’t reactive to anything and has never met a stranger. He is outgoing but also very respectful. He doesn’t jump up harshly and is very gentle. He loves bananas, pup cups, stuffies, playing in the river, going to the pet store, and laying around the house with his humans. He isn’t high energy and is fine with brisk walks or just going about life with you. He isn’t destructive and no separation anxiety as I’ve had to leave him alone for long hours. He does need work on potty training but he’s starting to pick it up well with us. He’s going to make someone a perfect companion or a very nice family dog. He is small! He is mixed with some type of small dog and is only 25lbs. Give Norman a chance and just meet him! He’ll do the rest of the convincing

Jack is in need of a loving and permanent home. As a middle-aged male, he may not have the same energy levels as younger dogs, but he makes up for it with his sweet and docile nature. He is content with a more relaxed and inactive lifestyle, making him an ideal companion for those who prefer a quieter pace. Jack's easy-going personality makes him a pleasure to be around, and he gets along well with other dogs. His gentle nature and friendly attitude make him the perfect addition to any family. Despite his age, Jack still has so much love to give and is patiently waiting for someone to open their heart and home to him. With his sweet and lovable demeanor, Jack is sure to bring joy and happiness to whomever is lucky enough to welcome him into their home. This dog is sheltered in a foster based, nonprofit rescue. Story
They call me Exuberant, Handsome and Sweet but you can choose a new name for me when we adopt each other. I don’t care what you call me, as long as you call me. I’m a happy dog who loves people more than anything else in the world. I’m a 4 year old Pitbull Lab (?) mix, with a 22” collar and am very big and strong. The Vet said I weigh 73 pounds. Don’t let that scare you because I am just a mushy ball of love. I like to let everyone know how happy I am to see them by twirling around and wagging my tail as fast as it will go. This is usually when they call me Exuberant. I like to have fun. Because I’m such a good boy, I’m allowed in the house and have good potty manners. I prefer being inside with people at night especially. You can hold the TV remote for us. Since I have a lot of energy and need exercise, your large fenced yard will be well-used. My foster peeps say I need a family, not a job. They know that I’m a quick learner and will be someone’s best dog ever with some training. Because I’m big and young at heart, my new humans should have some experience with dogs and be able to work with someone of my stature. I promise I will try to do everything you ask enthusiastically. Fortunately, my past dog life doesn’t include any physical abuse so I’m not afraid of people or other animals. I don’t like loud booming noises (fireworks or dynamite) or gunfire so I wouldn’t be a good hunting dog. Health wise, I am terrific; up to date on shots and tested negative for heartworms. Recently I was tricked into getting “tutored” and woke up with my bubbles missing. Foster peeps say it means I will get my forever home very soon! Maybe it’s yours!
