We rarely see a silver British Shorthair and Petra is fabulous. Petra was abandoned in Kuwait and is best as an only cat. She will coexist with another cat but will likely not bond. Petra is very loving but will take time to trust again. Petra is estimated to be about 4 years old. Our Kuwait kitties cost more because of their transport. * Our kitties are: Spayed/neutered (or provided a spay/neuter voucher for kittens too small for surgery), tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids, up-to-date on vaccines (rabies vaccine when age appropriate and distemper series), treated for parasites, and have microchips. Tiny kittens go in pairs unless there's a companion animal already in the household. Our adoption fees are low. Most are $150 although some very desirable kitties may be more. Sweet Tara is a British Shorthair from Kuwait. She is a beautiful, one year old, with classic tabby markings (gold swirls). She is loving and outgoing and gets along well with other kitties. Our Kuwait kitties are higher priced because of their pedigree and cost of transportation. * Our kitties are: Spayed/neutered (or provided a spay/neuter voucher for kittens too small for surgery), tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids, up-to-date on vaccines (rabies vaccine when age appropriate and distemper series), treated for parasites, and have microchips. Liam is a young, handsome, grey British Shorthair we are thrilled to have in our rescue. This sweet, old soul will be your best friend. He is a young yet mellow cat that enjoys watching the goings on of the household. He’s been a nice companion for the other young foster kitty, Jonah, in the house. He puts up with Jonah’s crazy antics. Liam will often come to you with a gentle meow or lay a paw on you to indicate he’d like some attention but he is by no means a needy cat. He will also find a place to sit and watch quietly if you are busy. Lovely, silky gray fur with a bit of an undercoat so brushing is helpful. We would love to see Liam in a home with another cat or dog but would consider as a solo in the right home. Fostered in Fairfax City

Ashley is a wonderful young boy rescued off the cold streets. We are thrilled he is with our rescue group so we can find him a forever home. He definitely has British Short Hair breeding based on his round little head and body shape. Ashley is the nicest young boy. He is active and very playful. He loves attention and gets along well with his foster family and with other cats. We would like to see Ashley be adopted to a home with another playful cat because he needs a playmate. He has not been tested with dogs or children but he should be fine based on his personality. Fostered in Fairfax, VA.

Poncho-Bombay mix male, ~ 2 yr. (Sept. 2024) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for application Pancho was found as a stray in a small rural community. He was thin and obviously abandon, on his own. The local Humane Society took him in and he found refuge in a good foster home. Now ready for his new family, Pancho is hoping that his people will find him soon. Poncho is black with one white spot on his chest, short fur, green eyes. He is litter box trained and is doing well with the other cats/kittens/dogs in the foster home. His adoption fee is $150 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption.
