Story
Meet Windy: The Storm Survivor with a Heart Full of Love! Well, do I have a story for you. My name used to be Bailey, but one dark and stormy night, something terrifying happened. The wind howled, lightning flashed, and I found myself lost and alone. The storm raged on, and I wandered, scared and soaked, not knowing where to turn. The Stormy Night: During that fierce storm, I got loose and was swept away by the howling winds. I was just a small, 1-year-old Brittany girl, trying to find my way. The thunder was deafening, and the rain poured down, but I kept going, hoping to find shelter. A Ray of Hope: Just when I thought all hope was lost, a kind lady found me shivering and scared. She took me in, dried me off, and gave me a warm place to stay. She discovered I had a microchip, and we found my owners. But in a twist of fate, they didn’t want me back. My heart sank, but the kind lady decided to give us to a Volunteer of NBRAN and they took me home and changed my name. Windy, in honor of the storm that changed my life. My New Beginning: I may have been scared that night, but I’m now one of the happiest girls you’ll ever meet. I’m an energetic, orange and white, 27 lb spayed Brittany puppy who loves to run and play. But I also have a sweet side—I adore cuddling and will snuggle as much as you let me. After all, I need to run off my energy, but when the day winds down, I’m ready to curl up in your lap. My Dream Home: Secure Fence: I need a wooden or wrought iron physical fence that’s secure. I never want to get lost again. Playmates: I’d love to have some furry friends to run, chase, and tug with. Together, we can keep the yard safe from critters. Forever Family: I’m looking for a loving forever home where we can start our life together, filled with fun and cuddles. From My Heart to Yours: I’m Windy, the storm survivor with a heart full of love. Despite my scary past, I’m ready to bring joy and affection into your life. Let’s find each other and start our forever journey together. I promise to fill your days with happiness and your nights with warm snuggles. If you’re looking for a happy, energetic, and loving companion who has braved the storm and came out stronger, look no further. I’m Windy, and I can’t wait to meet you! From my Rescuers:  We had her for a few days and nights.  She is super smart, was easy to train and is well-mannered in the house, not hyper at all.  Most lovable girl ever. Story
My name is Jake, and I am a man’s boy.   I am 7 ½ yrs young, a neutered handsome 38 lb orange/white well-behaved boy. Housebroken, crate trained (thou I don’t need one), healthy, utd on all my vaccines. HW and Tick neg and on prevention. I would do my best as an only dog, and really just want to be your buddy and hang out together.  I have done well lately with other dogs, but I did have a problem in the beginning of my first foster home.   I have played in day care, got loose and hung out at a house with at least 6 kids and 2 pitties and a small terrier, but I really just want to be yours alone and be rotten spoiled.  I do need a physical fence, since I like to hunt.  if you have a hole somewhere in that fence on the bottom, I will go hunting.  I know my name.  I love to swim.   I really am the best Brittany boy you will ever find. Love going in the car and riding around as your side kick. From Foster Dad: Jake’s new family will truly be blessed.  I'm reading and he jumps on the couch, and immediately moves into position, crawls in my lap and flips over for belly rubs. He'll stay as long as you rub on him...  Whoever takes Jake needs to know his requirements, ie... he goes to breakfast with you, and really likes dry toast (no butter), and ham!  Jake is as good of a Brittany as you could ever own, and I've owned 5...he is beautiful, healthy, very smart, house broken, loving, non-destructive..... Actually don't know a lot of spouses that fit this bill!  We have seen him with multiple small children, several breeds of dogs, and he likes Me!  His hair does not hold dirt, and he sleeps in a kennel at night...he'd love to sleep with you even more!!!  I know he would prefer to be in bed and snuggled.  He has all his shots and even my vet tried to convince me to keep him. We are just gone too much... He is not a big barker! He sits and stays on command....my wife won't do that... He is a hunting dog by breed, so he needs some exercise each day....but so do all of us!!!  If you don't have a good fence, he will get out, but he did come back ...one of two times.  In short, he is a dog, but one you can love on and you will see a dog who will love you even harder!  I’ve never seen him climb a fence....but if there's a hole, he'll find it! The adoption fee for TX/Jake, who lives in FTW, TX  is $350,  which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making TX/Jake part of your family, please complete the on-line application by visiting www.nbran.org .  Contact the South Central Region Coordinators Chris Wagoner at cwnbran@gmail.com  , Melinde Waddle at macgammy@gmail.com and/or Nancy Walker at nwalker@capecod.net  and then let your state coordinator know so we can get the ball rolling.  A phone interview, home visit and vet check will be required as part of the approval process by your state coordinator, before talking to the foster of Jake. Story
Meet Scoutie: Your Future Best Friend! Hi there! My name is Scoutie, and I'm on a mission to find my forever home. I'm a 2 ½-year-old, 44-pound bundle of joy, wrapped in a handsome orange and white Brittany coat. Life has been quite the adventure so far, but I'm ready to settle down with a loving family who will cherish me as much as I'll cherish them. A Little About Me: Personality: I'm the definition of well-mannered and easy-going. Whether it's playing fetch in the yard or snuggling on the couch, I'm happiest when I'm with my people. Health: I'm up-to-date on all my vaccines and have a clean bill of health, including being heartworm and tick negative. Housebroken: Yep, no accidents here! I know my way around a house and will be a respectful roommate. Social Butterfly: I get along with everyone—humans, dogs, you name it! My foster mom says I have a heart of gold. Why I'm Looking for a New Home: My original family had to give me up for my safety, but now I'm in a loving foster home. My foster mom is dedicated to helping other dogs find homes too, so she's helping me find my perfect match. What I'm Looking For: A Secure Yard: I love to explore, so a physical fence of at least 5 ft is a must to keep me safe while I patrol the neighborhood. Companionship: While I'd enjoy having a doggy sibling, I'm also perfectly happy being your one and only as long as I'm the center of your world. Ready to make your life a little more wonderful? Let’s get that application started! I can’t wait to meet you and become the newest member of your family. The adoption fee for TX/Scoutie, who lives in Conroe, TX  is $400,  which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making TX/Scoutie part of your family, please complete the on-line application by visiting www.nbran.org .  Contact the South Central Region Coordinators Chris Wagoner at cwnbran@gmail.com  , Melinde Waddle at macgammy@gmail.com and/or Nancy Walker at nwalker@capecod.net  and then let your state coordinator know so we can get the ball rolling.  A phone interview, home visit and vet check will be required as part of the approval process by your state coordinator, before talking to the foster of Scoutie.
