Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Ivory is an 8-year-old bundle of sweetness with a heart full of love and a newfound zest for life. She came to us with her sister, Zoi, after their world was turned upside down by the passing of their human mom. Their elderly dad, who adored them but could no longer care for them, made the heartbreaking decision to surrender them so they could find the stability and love they deserve.   When Ivory arrived, she was carrying more than emotional weight—she also had a large hernia, about the size of a softball, that needed urgent attention. Thanks to a successful surgery and a little recovery time, Ivory is now thriving! With her health restored, she’s rediscovered her playful side, and it’s a joy to witness.   Ivory is an absolute delight. She’s the kind of dog who can turn anything into a toy and will happily chase, chew, and romp with unbridled enthusiasm. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has a knack for bringing smiles to every playdate. And when playtime is over, Ivory’s snuggle game is unmatched. Whether it’s curling up on the couch or lying beside you after a long day, she’s an expert at offering comfort and affection.   Ivory is more than ready to start her next chapter with a family who will treasure her as much as she treasures them. She’s looking for a home where she can continue to enjoy the simple joys of life—playing with toys, spending time with canine companions, and soaking up all the love she can get.   If you’re searching for a gentle, loving, and playful companion who will bring endless joy to your life, Ivory might just be your perfect match. Are you ready to give this resilient girl the forever home she deserves? Reach out today to meet her and let her brighten your world! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Your donation will help us buy dog food and pay for medical costs. Visit this link  www.underdogrescuemn.com/donate   to donate.  (Please note: A Paypal account is not necessary to use Paypal. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Peanut, the tiniest bundle of joy at just 4 lbs—a Cairn Terrier mix who's guaranteed to steal your heart and maybe your squeaky toys! Peanut’s favorite activities? Strutting his stuff on a leash like the goodest boy, soaking up all the pets he can get, and chasing squeaky toys with all the determination of a much bigger pup. Afterward, he’s all about snuggling up for nap time, preferably right next to you. Peanut is a quick learner, working hard on commands, and he’s a social butterfly with other small dogs. Being so pint-sized, he’s basically a real-life teddy bear—but just a heads-up: he’s not actually a stuffed toy! A quick chat with little ones will help them understand how to be gentle with this tiny treasure.  He is learning the basics of potty training but with this cold weather, is going to need someone who understands....he says it is utterly ridiculous this weather that is out there.  Shared walls would need to be discussed.   This little guy does pack a loud "ruff" so it just depends on what those shared walls may look like. Ready for big love from this little guy? Peanut can’t wait to meet his forever family! Mr. Peanut gets neutered on Jan 20th and will be available to go home one week post op.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Please go to our website www.wagsmn.org and fill out an Adoption Application.  Once the application is processed, a Wags representative will contact you, answer any questions you may have, and set up a time/location for a meet and greet!  A home visit is required prior to adoption.  Thank you for choosing to adopt! Breed and temperament determination:  Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue attempts to determine breed and temperament using a combination of looks, information provided to us at intake, and our experience with the animal while in our Rescue.  We do not guarantee this determination. Story
Welcome Boscoe to CCPAL Rescue. Boscoe is a 2-year-old Cairn Terrier mix with maybe Schnauzer. He is a lower energy and a little shy. His teeth are white and clean as his adult teeth haven’t been in too long. He is good on a leash and bigger than the other two at 15 pounds. He has nice long legs so he would be a great walking companion. He is very content being beside someone and doesn’t have to be in your lap. He came from a homeless person that had about 6 dogs. The homeless person had rescued all as strays. A good Samaritan stepped up to help and called CCPAL Rescue. CCPAL took in all the homeless person’s dogs except one she wanted to keep. We will be vaccinating them and spaying them to get them ready for their forever home. This boy is not a shedding dog and is very very affectionate. He would probably look Schnauzer if he had the cut. His coat is a little course and not as soft as the schnauzer coat. He would be fine around kids but I think her best home would be with a home that someone wants a lap dog and a quieter home. He would be a great one or two person dog. He will be great company and will not require too much exercise. A small condo type yard would work for him. He is good in a crate and with other dogs. He is more vocal than his sister Merry. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transportation fee is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.
