Story
Meet Alice, a beautiful, Calico kitten with round, yellow/amber eyes and a soft, medium-haired coat... which she LOVES to have brushed. If you're looking for PURRSONALITY, Alice is your GIRL!! She's sweet, affectionate and highly-social... likely to run and greet you the moment you walk in the room. She just may even hop onto your shoulder for a ride.
Alice was born into a very sad situation where a family, in Baldwin Park, was allowing all their cats to breed uncontrollably. None of them were receiving any veterinary care or a healthy diet. She arrived with a group of 12 kittens - from various litters and with varying health issues. Lucky for Alice, she was one of the healthiest and was separated from the sicker ones.
It was an overwhelming undertaking since some of them had very serious issues (one was missing an eye). But Alice was the bright light among them all... always chatting to greet me and excited to be pet and held in my arms.
Once I was able to get them all in good health and getting them spayed/neutered, Alice was reunited with the rest of her extended family members... with whom she got along famously.
For a time, she lived in a foster home with young children and two, small dogs. She and her sisters would follow the family around from room to room and they noted she was very "dog-like" in nature.
This girl LOVES to play with any kind of feather toy or catnip mouse. She also enjoys chasing and wrestling any worthy opponent. Her current BF is her Lynx Point Siamese sister, Pancake.
You'll find her full rescue journey chronicled in Photo Album #34 on our Facebook page: "Save The Leadwell Kitties" (including video and photo updates on all our cats and kittens). Be sure to check out her adoption video and fall in L-O-V-E!!
Alice's adoption will include her:

* FVRCP vaccinations,
* Rabies vaccination (if old enough),
* Combo-test (for FIV/FeLV = negative),
* and Microchipping!
~ $150. adoption fee, adoption contract and home check apply / $250 for a pair ~
* Please only contact us if you'll be making Alice a permanent member of your household and will be keeping her safe indoors.
** We do not adopt out kittens or cats where they will be the only pet at home. Kittens rely on each other for emotional support and continued social and behavioral development. For example: another kitten or cat will teach them when they're playing too rough or biting too hard. Plus, cats and kittens get very lonely when you're not at home! Having a playmate will keep them happier, healthier and out of trouble. **We offer a discount when adopting a pair!
Interested in becoming a much-needed foster? Please send us a message with your best contact info, the type of home environment you can provide and, most-importantly, the City in which you live. Thanks!
