Calico kittens & cats in Herrin, Illinois

Mama Mia was most likely dumped as a kitten or possibly born as a stray. She is barely more than a baby herself but has taken care of 6 babies and kept them safe for a the first four months of their lives. She was happy to have the food that I was putting out for them once I saw them crossing the road that day but she was just so unsure of people. I set up a safe place for her in the storage building and she did finally go in there where I was finally able to catch her. The first few days were scary for her but she soon figured out that all I wanted to do was love her. She has been here for about 3 weeks and is finally coming to me on her own and even wanted to play tonight. She will need a home with someone who has a great deal of patience and some experience with semi feral cats. She is fine with me at this point and will learn to trust someone else but it will take some time, love and patience. She is guessed to have been born around 10/17/2022 and has been spayed, microchipped, and had her rabies shot. She has had one Feline shot and will need two more if adopted before the time for them to be given. Her adoption fee is $100. We got Bernie when she was 5 weeks old and had been abandoned by her mother. She immediately got along with our other cat, Dink. He is the only pet she's ever gotten along with, and we have tried slow and immediate integration with our other pets. Neither worked. She's very skittish and anxious, and I am planning to move out soon with my boyfriend, who has 2 pets of his own. We think that the move and adding new animals will do way more harm than good. I think that since she is so skittish, she's better off in a home with no kids or other pets. She can be playful, but would much prefer to lay around in common areas of the house. She loves to cuddle, but only when she thinks you don't see her.

PC is a very sweet and loving cat that I am heartbroken to part with. She is probably 1-1.5yrs old, she was 12 weeks when I got her and I got her shots at that time but am still looking for the documentation. She is still quite energetic and is very physically affectionate. I am in poor mental health and cannot give her the care she deserves. I am looking for a responsible owner who can give her the attention she needs. Thank you, Audrey
