Story
Keeper appeared at my back door as a tiny kitten after the 2016 flood which caused many families in my neighborhood to evacuate. She obviously got left behind, but she found me, and I just had to keep her, hence her name. In the 8 years that we’ve had her, she’s been an excellent pet - healthy, active, and loving. She enjoys the outside, climbing trees and fences, chasing birds, bugs and lizards, exploring the neighborhood, and vexing the dog. With age her inside time has increased, but she uses the litter box well and sleeps a lot. She is fairly independent and quiet. Shedding is minimal and clawing has not been a big problem. She uses a scratching post or an old sisal rug to pull on. Pawing behavior occurs when she’s snuggling, but it’s short-lived and I just keep an old towel or a throw handy. She’s an affectionate cat with a great purr and will provide a good amount of lap time. Keeper gets on well with our setter. She’s a real sweetie! Annual check-up with tag was 1/07/2025.
