I have been spayed, dewored, and vaccinated, as well as combo tested for FIV/FeLv (negative). I may be shy, at first, as I'm mostly used to my foster mom only, but I'm actually pretty social and love to be pet, have my head scratched, ad snuggle in your lap on the couch or bed. I like to play with toys and get along with other cats and dogs. I would do best in a quiet home and children over 10 years old because grabbing would startle me. I am located (and will be adopted from) at my foster home in Westland. Adoption fee: $150

Callie is an absolute sweet heart. She enjoys cuddles with with both us humans and her "brother" Joey. Although she is shy at first once she warms up to you she loves the company of others. She loves to play as well as enjoy the food and treats given to her. She loves being coddled and given ear scratches. I unfortanately am allergic and need to find her and Joey a new home.

Lavendar is a sweet young teen mother. She's just had kittens and she herself is only six months old. She was one of a pair dumped by some uncaring person to a home in the woods. They were only small kittens at the time and the owner of the house made provisions for them in their garage, but they never got them vetted or fixed. They were part of another dumped pregnant mother who had just had a second litter so they blended in with those kittens in the garage. Now comes spring and ALL the females there were PREGNANT. Lavender had her four babies and was an excellent mother. But during the time she was nursing them, almost to the time they started eating on their own, she got a bad infection of mastitis and had to have two surgeries a week apart because she got holes in her teats. This was very disappointing to everyone because suddenly she couldn't nurse the babies and we had to remove her from the babies so she could heal and this was very sad for her and for her babies. It was hard on her, on the babies and on the foster and the rest of us. She really needs a wonderful adopter as she has been through so much. She really deserves to have a lovely family as her own. Lavendar herself is friendly and sweet and she will be needing an indoor only home of her own. If you might be interested in a sweet, young companion, Lavendar might be your girl. Mahito is a handsome young tabby who was found wandering as a stray by a kind family who took him in. Unfortunately their cats did not care for him very much so they brought him here. He's super outgoing and friendly and should do adjust quickly to his new home. He wants nothing more than a lap to snuggle in, someone to listen to his stories, a window to watch out, and he wouldn't say no to the occasional walk around the block (he does pretty well on a leash and harness!) Most cats seem to find him obnoxious! He would love a playful friend but would be fine if his people had plenty of time to play with him. Mahito started out his life outdoors and is unfortunately FIV+. He isn't showing any symptoms and many FIV cats live perfectly normal lives. The risk to other cats is pretty low but it is something to keep in mind.

Yaeko is a sweet momma cat who came to the shelter with her babies when her owner could no longer care for her. She and the kittens were living in a closet and had not been fed regularly so she was very thin and could no longer care for her babies (Don't worry! They are in a foster home and doing great!) With a little TLC and some regular meals, she'll be back to a good weight in no time. She appears to have been an indoor/outdoor cat but if she knows wet food appears regularly might adjust to living inside. Some cats that are used to being allowed outside when they choose cannot adjust to life as an indoor only cat. Potential adopters wishing to make one of them an indoor pet, will need to be patient and to keep in mind that there could be potential behavior issues and that some cats never lose their desire to roam.

All Too Well is a friendly girl who came to the shelter when her owner moved somewhere that did not allow pets. She isn't quite sure what happened but she knows she isn't happy about it. She is not amused to be living in a kennel and she hopes there's someone out there looking for a slightly chunky, well behaved girl who just wants a new home! All our adoptable cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots!
