While she remains skittish and wary of close interactions, she will allow gentle pets—just twice—before darting away to her safe spot. I’ve been fostering Bubby for a little over 6 years after a friends passing. He adopted my deceased friend so not sure exactly how old he is but would guess 10-12 years. He’s always been an indoor/outdoor cat, previously on 80 acres and now on 6. He is quite skittish but very affectionate. Tends to slobber when getting affection and is sometimes a bit vocal. I travel for work and have an automatic feeder and 1 gallon water dispenser. A friend who he knows looks in on him and spends time with him a few times a week while I’m gone. Obviously not an ideal situation. I never intended to have him this long but didn’t really move forward on trying to place him. Hoping to find a forever home for him.

FIV cat = positively adoptable! Goliath is a middle aged man looking for a soft hand to help him learn to trust humans a little more. He would like to spend his days lounging on a soft blanket with lots of snacks. He is a very sweet guy who loves his snacks. He’s not really into toys but he has been an outside cat most (if not all) of his life until he came to us.    He was a feral at one of our feeding stations & one day was limping. We trapped him & took him to the vet. Turns out it was just a sprain from doing kitty cat things, but he is also FIV+. This is not a death sentence but it means that his outside days are over. We have been working with him but feel he would make more progress is a quieter, slower home. He prefers women over men & loves running around the house at night finding all the new things that came in during the day. We believe he’ll make someone very happy, but he just needs a little time & patience first.   Research shows FIV is only transmitted through deep blood-drawing bite wounds. Amias is a big love bug who looks a little rough around the edges. He is FIV+ so he has a compromised immune system. This makes his eyes look rough & the Mississippi allergies & weather don't help!
