Monkey, a 13-year-old front-declawed calico kitty, is super sweet and affectionate. Her dad passed away a few months ago and she's in need of a new home now. She would like a home where she gets a lot of attention and love, as her dad was a retired gentleman and doted on her all her life. She sure misses him. Nosey, a younger sister to Monkey, is a 5-year-old, female spayed grey tabby. She's also affectionate and loving and gets along famously with Monkey. They can be adopted into separate homes; however, Nosey does not like any other cats but Monkey, so Nosey will need to be in a single-cat household if these two are separated. Fizzgig is a well loved calico shorthair. My blended family and I are moving into a new home in January and she does not get along with his dog. I have several cats that she gets along with and my own Chihuahua that she doesn't really care for. She unfortunately stalks our pug and I'm afraid it'll start and attack within the home. She's a good kitty otherwise and she's litter trained and she's indoor even though she was born outside and lived outdoor until she was weaned. I'm sure she would enjoy going outside if she was chipped and fixed.

This sweet cat is semi-feral has been with ABF for an extended period.  While some progress has been made, there is still wariness of human contact and he will tend to avoid interaction.  This cat has never been exposed to outdoor elements or hunting, so would not be suitable as a barn cat. He is used to living in an air conditioned and heated building with other cats in a very clean room that has lots of windows and is excellent at using the litter box. We would love for him to have a home of his own where he could continue to thrive.

This cat is named cuddles and he likes kids but not other pets he can be vary loving and likes to cuddle but doesn’t like to be held a lot and he is about a year old.

Have had Lily since she was a kitten, she is spayed. Born in Summer of 2011 so she'll be 14 this year. She's still active a spry for her age, she gets along with her sister cats but ideally she'd be an only pet cat. She does well with older children but she would steer clear of babies and toddlers for their loud outbursts. She likes being a lap cat and just looks for attention when you get home.

He is shy at first, but once he trusts you he will warm up to you. He enjoys rubbing his chin on his fosters hand for affection.  He will probably do best as an only cat. Shadow is a diabetic kitty. Shadow is currently with a foster family, and they are doing a great job keeping  his diabetes under control by closely monitoring his diet, blood sugar and insulin levels daily. Shadow will need this daily care to keep him healthy and stable so he can enjoy many more years. The foster family can give you all the details needed to care for this sweet guy! Adoption Fee: $75 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, FIV/FeLV Combo test, and deworming. A two-week trial is included as part of the adoption. Because we do not know the background of many of our cats, we cannot guarantee exact age or breed. These lovable and sweet kitties are bonded and need to be adopted together. Both are spayed, microchipped, in good health, and are up-to-date on shots. Khabibi definitely has a TON of personality and is the dominant one.  Super smart, playful, talkative, adventurous, loves to be petted and talked too.  Bertie is more reserved, but super sweet/cuddly and also loves to play and be talked to.  They also love each other very much, and often sleep/eat/play together.    They recently lost their beloved owner and need a loving forever home. Midwest Animal ResQ offers a 30-day adjustment period within which you can evaluate the pet's progress and your adoption decision. If, within those 30 days, you determine your recently adopted pet isn't a good fit, you may return the animal and receive a MARQ credit that can be used toward the adoption of another animal. Our biggest priority is finding the very best match for you, and Completing Families one Tail at a Time! Adoption fees on our adult cats is $50, and for kittens the fee is $100. All cats must leave in a secure carrier. If you don't have one, we have cardboard carriers for sale for $10. All cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations and preventions prior to adoption. Our shelter is located at 10312 East 63rd Street in Raytown, MO. We are open to meet pets Tuesday through Friday from 10-6, and on Saturday and Sunday from 10-5. We are closed on Mondays.
