Our pets are located and physically fostered in Mt.Airy, NC until adopted. Once adopted we can transport to your location or one of the north eastern locations. We have a cost effective transporter that delivers every other week. This sweet girl came to us after being dumped at a shelter in NC who euthanizes cats due to lack of space. She is extremely sweet and loving. She is good with other cats and she is used to dogs. She will go to her new home current on vetting, spayed and microchipped. She is not a crawl in your lap type of cat but she tolerates attention and affection. She is good with other cats and is accustomed to dogs. Evie is a beautiful soul with a tragic past 😭 Evie was rescued by OFR just before euthanasia. Her crime? The owners were moving, and didn't want to take her with them. 😡 Evie was neglected in her previous home - she came in injured and absolutely desperate for human attention. Thankfully, her luck quickly changed. Evie is now healed, inside and out. You may notice a red mark on her face - this is the last bit of evidence of neglect that will soon be covered by her beautiful dilute calico fur 🩶 Evie is a sweet and mellow kitty who will need a few weeks to build up trust with a new human 💕 She'll start off hiding and will then pop her little head out for pets as she gets to know her human! She has so much love to give, and once you gain her trust, you'll have a partner for life. Evie looooves attention and is looking forward to getting enough love to make up for her 6 years of being ignored 😢 Evie is cat friendly, and would do well with calm dogs and respectful kids! Most importantly, Evie seeks a human who will never abandon her again 💙

We are seeking a new home for our cat, Millie. This has been a difficult decision for our family, but due to changes in our household dynamics with the arrival of our daughter, we believe it’s best for Millie to find a new environment where she can thrive. Age: 5 years Breed:Calico Personality: Millie can be timid at first but once she warms up to you, she enjoys occasional cuddles. She has a playful spirit and loves to explore her surroundings. Living situation: Millie is strictly an indoor cat. Ideal home: - Millie would do best in a home without young children. -She currently lives with a dog, but we feel she would be happier in a home without dogs. -Mille can adjust to living with other cats, but she may prefer to be the only pet.

Daniel is a healthy, loving, affectionate kitty, but he needs to earn your trust first. Daniel is timid but will warm up in no time. He can be very talkative :) He is food & treat motivated. Daniel loves his stuffed mouse toy & carries it around with him :) He also enjoys playing with wand toys, & then settling down for a snooze :) Daniel gets along with the doggie in the house, but is not much of a fan of other kitties. This is a foster to adopt situation to ensure that Daniel & all family members are happy. Daniel is neutered, up to date on vaccines, & felv/fiv negative. * INDOOR HOME ONLY.

Hi, I'm Bernie. I have been patiently waiting for my perfect forever family for a long time now. A couple of years ago the people who had me from the time I was 7 weeks old moved, and didn't take me along. I was heartbroken. My foster family tells me that I am very special, loving, funny, affectionate, & brave. They told me that my perfect family is looking for me, but they haven't found me yet. HERE I AM! I CAN'T WAIT TO MEET YOU! I love playing with wand toys, especially if they have feathers. I also love it if you toss my furry mice & toys around. I will chase them & play with them too. When I'm done playing, I love to curl up next to you for a rest. I am very loving. I will make biscuits in the air if you pet me a lot. I also love chin scratches & being brushed everyday. In my second picture, I am covered in catnip because I love rolling in it! I need to be the only baby in your life as I am scared of other doggies & kitties & don't do well with them. **Please fill out an application to speak to us; we do not have enough volunteer time to answer separate messages from Adopt A Pet.** Roxy needs a special home as she is heartworm positive. She is not a fan of other cats. She needs a calm home for the best outcome for her condition. Heartworm cannot be cured in cats, only managed. She must have monthly flea and parasite Revolution treatment applied to keep the heartworm under control and needs to avoid overstimulation. She's a beautiful tortie, who was left behind in an apartment after her people moved, claiming she was "feral." She has been with us since December 2023.
