You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Whitney is an older diva who is looking for a quiet home where she is the main attraction. She is shy with new people but once she gets comfy she'll make a great movie watching companion. Whitney enjoys bird watching and lots of scratches from her humans. She would do best as an only cat because she prefers to be the star of the house.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application today at https://fflah.rescuegroups.org//forms August 17, 2024, 12:23 pm

Story
Ruby is a territorial but loving cat….slightly demanding for her dinner. She has a dog companion but she’s the boss in that relationship. I travel a lot so she’s not really getting the love she deserves. I’ve had her since 2017. I got her from a shelter so I can’t remember how old she is. She’s about a year behind in shots. She wants to go outside but also too scared to fully explore. She loves to cuddle on her terms. Breed unknown.

Story
Haley is a sweet senior who found her way back to Colony Cats after she was abandoned by her previous adopter.  When she came to us she was scared and not eating well but she has slowly become more comfortable. She’s an easy going lady who loves to curl up in a sun beam. An artist donated her time to paint Haley's portrait and her adopter will receive this portrait as well. Submit an application if she's the kind of gal you're seeking.  Haley currently resides in our boutique where she has a little more peace and quiet than in the adoption center but we’d love to introduce her to you there! DOB: 3/1/2017 Come meet me at the cage-free Adoption Center! **If interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process. Story
FIV+Meet Blanche, a stunning calico beauty with a striking mix of black, orange, and white fur. Born around March 8, 2021, Blanche joined our adoption center on March 16, 2024, after being caught as a stray in Blacklick by our dedicated TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) volunteers. Despite her life on the streets, Blanche is not feral. She has an independent spirit that makes her an intriguing and charming companion. Blanche is spayed, vaccinated, and has tested negative for FeLV. Additionally, she is FIV+ (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus positive), which means she has a weakened immune system compared to FIV-negative cats. While this requires some extra care to keep her healthy, it doesn't stop her from living a fulfilling life. Blanche is extremely shy and tends to be reserved around new people. However, if you approach her slowly, she enjoys a good head scratch and will purr contentedly. She may not be the most attention-seeking kitty, but she still appreciates love and care. Her friendship is won through gentle pets and tasty snacks, making the bond you form with her all the more special. Blanche got her name because of her beautiful white patches of fur that reminded our volunteers of fresh snow. Her name, meaning "white" in French, seemed like a perfect fit for her unique and elegant appearance. Blanche is slow to trust and doesn't like new people, but once she warms up to you (which takes a while), she is incredibly sweet and loyal. If you’re looking for a beautiful and self-reliant feline friend, Blanche might just be the perfect addition to your home. Come meet her and experience her unique charm for yourself! **Come meet me at the cage free Adoption Center! All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV/FeLV. If interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process. Story
Checkers’ littermates were all adopted months ago. She’s now one year old, and she is still waiting to find her forever home! If you aren’t able to adopt her, please share her story! Checkers and her siblings were rescued when found outdoors by a volunteer. Despite getting a late start on socialization, Checkers has made a lot of progress, and blossomed in her foster home! She can still be leery of strangers, but once she becomes comfortable with someone, she is quite friendly and affectionate. Checkers loves to climb in her foster mom’s lap. She will also follow around her foster mom, sometimes even wrapping herself around her foster mom’s legs, trying to take each step with her. She loves head scratches and belly rubs, which often prompt her to purr and roll around. She also likes to give nuzzles and head butts. Due to her slightly chonky figure, this adorable girl has been nicknamed Chubby Checkers. As you can see in the photos, she has an expressive face and often appears wide-eyed. Her pink toe beans match her bright, pink nose, and her foster mom says her tuxedo fur coat is super soft and silky. Checkers is also very playful, active, and curious. She loves interacting with the other cats/kittens in her foster home, and she would like to be adopted into a home with another young kitty! If you don’t have a kitty playmate for her, we have some other kitties around her age that are also available for adoption. Checkers’ hobbies include playing with strings, looking out windows, rolling around in catnip, and watching YouTube videos featuring birds and other critters. Checkers has been fully vetted - tested, spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated, and she’s currently living in a foster home in the Columbus area. To ease her transition, we are ideally seeking an adoptive home that is similar to Checkers’ foster home - a quiet home with a patient and experienced cat parent and without young children or dogs. If you're located in Ohio, and you’re interested in meeting/adopting Checkers, please submit an application online via www.forgotten4paws.com/adoption-application.html. Applicants can also request to foster-to-adopt (meaning a cat can be fostered on a trial basis before making a decision to adopt). If you have any questions, send an email to contactusforgotten4paws@yahoo.com.
