Calico kittens & cats in Hillsboro, Oregon

These two beautiful littermates have been together since birth.  They miss their elderly owner whom they spent 24/7 on her lap.  Sadly, the owner passed away a year ago and the family can't keep them any longer as they are limited to the number of cats they already own, per landlord. Yvette and Yvonne are very shy of strangers and would need a lot of love, compassion, and patience from their next owner.  Currently, they spend all their time on the adult granddaughter's bed.     They will need a calm and quiet home environment with a cat-savvy person who is retired and has plenty of time and a huge understanding of cats, preferably an older woman.  One who would be happy just to watch them from afar, at the beginning. They have the option to go outside from time to time on their own, but need to be inside only for at least 3 month period to get acclimated to their new home before allowing outside.  A Catio would be ideal, but a cat tree in front of a picture window to view their new world would suffice.  Cat scratchers are a must.   Yvonne likes playing with the red dot. Yvette comes when called. Neither like being picked up and the family respected that.  Yvonne likes light petting on the head and back and Yvette likes pets around the head and will headbutt you, wanting more.  Both were fixed at a year old and were recently vaccinated with FVRCP (treats/prevents distemper, Herpes, URI) and Rabies, in January and February 2024. They are flea-treated monthly and dewormed prophylactically. And they will be microchipped upon adoption. Yvonne occasionally gets eye discharge probably due to herpes zoster and will have eye treatment meds provided. Lily is a sweet girl. We adopted her along with her calico kitten. She loves pets and is happy to sit with you and nap. She tolerates being picked up but prefers to jump up with you on her own terms. She has been good with kids and politely lets them know when she is done. Rehoming fee is $50. Say hello to the gorgeous Nala! She has the most beautiful calico coat with the cutest pink button nose! Nala embodies the qualities of beauty, grace, and inner strength! She is the perfect mix of playful and lazy cuddle bug. She is quick to jump up into your lap to be petted or get extra chin scratches. A few of her favorite activities include daytime naps, stealing attention, and talking up a storm! She purrs just like a little Hemi engine. You will never be lonely with this girl! Nala does have her occasional playful spurts but for the most part she can be found relaxing on the highest part of the cat tower or in her little cat tunnel. Her favorite toy is a wand feather toy, which she enjoys chasing around for a few minutes a day. She is such an easy girl who really only need a lap to be happy! Hi, my name is Maki. I have been with my family since I was a baby and we lived in an upstairs apartment. Live was great! I even have a sister cat. We moved into a house and life just changed. When you are on the first floor and look out the window, you see all sorts of birds and squirrels and even other outside cats (the kind that fight and are very frightening to me) That really stresses me out and I have gotten jumpy. Now, my sister cat has been picking on me too. So, my human dad said that he would work to find me a better home situation where I can be the only cat in a quiet home. I am about 3 years old, and when I was myself, I was a bit timid, but warmed up to the humans in my world and my sister and I used to even play. So, what would be good for me, would be a quiet home where I can be your only cat. I would probably be better with kids over 12 - those little guys tend to be a bit noisy for me. I have never been around dogs, so, we can skip that too. I have lived my life inside and that suits me must fine. My sweet Pickles is a 7 yo indoor & outdoor female cat. She loves to be loved. She is a bit shy and easily startled by loud noises. She is spayed and up-to-date on her shots. I am moving to assisted living and cannot take her with me.

I am a special girl with funny view on the world. My eyes don't work the best but I can still see enough to be a goof ball and a lover. I love to talk, whether its meowing for attention or trilling while looking out the window and running around with other cats. I take a while to get used to new cats but once I get used to them we become best friends. I love to wrestle with and then clean my friends. My best friend is Nikki. I was hand raised since I was about 10 days old so I am great at being handled, as long as you aren't playing with my eyes. I will sometimes flinch when you first touch me if I don't realize you were approaching or I don't recognize your scent. My biggest down fall is I occasionally pee in the wrong spot, I don't know why but the humans seem to think my anxiety is the main cause. When I was younger I went through an period where I couldn't walk very well. The humans found I had Luxating patellas but that was not the overall cause. After many vet visits and tests they figured out I had an infection that was effecting my muscles. They put me on this gross meds and after a few days I had no more pain. I now continue to be a playful girl that just wants to be with people. I love wrestling and grooming other cats as well as playing with kicker toys or stuffed toys. I have been through a lot in my life but I am ready to find a place of my own that will love me the way I am. Kids: Older or adult onlyCats: Friendly and playful yes, slow introduction. My name is Nikki. I learned how to behave from my feral mom. I am learning to be more comfortable around people but am still hesitant. I would be what would be considered a roommate cat. I am interested in what people are doing but would prefer not being touched. I do love other cats so I would need a cat in my forever home that would allow me to cuddle with them. I have a buddy here at the rescue named Tinsel, we have been together for so long now that I cry when she is out of my sight. But I will also try and bond with any cat that will let me. I am comfortable around people and let than get within an inch of me, but with treats they can sneak in a pet here and there. Kids: NoCats: Yes, the more the merrier in my opinion.
