This beautiful 3-year-old (estimated birthdate 04/30/2020) Cane Corso was rescued from an overcrowded animal control after being found lost in the woods. When she arrived at Furkids, she was in rough shape, battling multiple medical issues. But with weeks of intensive care and lots of love, Hemlock has made an incredible recovery and is now ready to find a forever home where she can truly shine. Though Hemlock lost both of her eyes due to severe injuries, she doesn't let her blindness hold her back. She is an incredibly sweet, calm, and gentle soul who adores companionship and will form a deep bond with her future family. Fun fact - Hemlock loves music and will sing along with you. Hemlock is looking for a patient adopter who will guide her through her new normal. With the right person by her side, we know she will thrive and bring so much love in return. She weighs 76 lbs, is spayed, microchipped, and fully up to date on vaccines and preventatives. She is currently a little underweight, at 62lbs. Paisley ended up as a stray at an overcrowded Atlanta shelter before coming to BarkVille Dog Rescue. It&#39s apparent that she has likely had puppies before, and her demeanor is currently a little sad. She is low key and very loving. She enjoys riding in the car, and is friendly with people and other dogs. Paisley is house trained, and crate trained. Paisley would do well in an apartment or house, and does not require a fenced yard. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. There’s no place like home… let’s find Whiskey one! Whiskey was born at BCAR three years ago, and sadly, while his five littermates and his mom were all long-ago adopted, he has lived his whole life at the shelter. One of our volunteers brought Whiskey home for a couple of days, and here’s what he’s like in a home. Please share this with everyone you know and let’s find Whiskey a home of his own! Whiskey is a loving dog with a great disposition. He will make a beloved pet for a person or family who is active, likes to walk or run every day, lives in a quieter environment, likes to talk and interact with their dog, will take cues from Whiskey about his comfort level with different, new situations and people and make accommodations accordingly. He is a sweet, loving, trusting, smart dog – Whiskey is everything you want in a companion dog. Whiskey is people-focused. He is a BCAR volunteer favorite and gets along with the other dogs as long as they keep their distance. He will run/walk several miles a day, with a couple of other 5-10 minute outings during the day. He is not an alpha dog but you would want him to be the only dog in his home. Whiskey has had a lot of obedience training. He does not bark and is house trained. He was not destructive. He is not mischievous, does not chew items, doesn’t have separation anxiety, and he doesn’t shed. He’ll sit beside you on the sofa for hours, and even watches TV! His cons? He is nervous of new noises – the dishwasher, the icemaker, thunder. And he is reactive to other dogs when walking. Being cognizant of this, you can act accordingly and prevent issues. Whiskey is a good, all-night sleeper, either in his own bed, or yours, your preference! All BCAR dogs are placed as indoor family pets. No electric fences, please. No food aggression towards humans. Did not show guarding around toys. Did not show aggressive with food and high vauler treats with another dog around. Timid in new surroundings needs time to warm up to new places and people but will follow. Food motivated and loves affection. Did no show issues of separation anxiety away from sibling. Will do good n rehoming with older dog, being the only dog, or staying home in separate kennels during the day.

Max is a wonderful dog that was bought by my daughter as a puppy 3 years ago. My daughter graduated from college and moved to Virginia to start a new job and tried to live with Max in a one bed room apartment while working in an office with a 45 minute commute. This was not a good environment for an active dog that needs exercise. We brought him back to Georgia and would like to rehome him to an environment where he will get enough attention. We already have 2 dogs and 2 cats and don’t have the capacity to give him what he needs. We do not want to rehome him to someone in an apartment. ideally, he’ll be rehomed to someone with land/space so he can thrive.
