Hi!! Apollo here. I'm a big, sweet, loving baby! I am told I am also a bit goofy. I think that makes me extra special. I love attention, treats and being around my people. I can be a little selective of new people at first, but once I know you, I will love you unconditionally and always. The staff says I am "connected at the hip." I just want them to know I love them. When asked to sit, I do it excitedly. I am still trying to figure out leash walking, but I am great in a kennel overnight and I am potty-trained. I would do best in a house with no children. I am looking for a family to call my own. Will you come meet me? I can't wait to meet you.

Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come.
Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and Minneapolis, MN areas twice a month. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual and we will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veteinarian ($35). Going that last mile home for our sweet pets!
