Story
Tobias (Toby) - Male Cane Corso Age: 6 years  Good with: Cats: Yes Dogs: Yes, with a slow intro Kids: Yes, however he likes to use his weight to get attention. Otherwise, he is a gentle noy Location: Saint Charles, MO Weight: 120 lbs Toby came to us from a cruelty case. He is the sweetest old man. He loves to just sit by you and get pets. He does fine being left alone, but prefers to be with people. He has met the neighbor dog through the fence, but has mostly ignored him. He has done fantastic with all the people he has met. He loves the car, and every time we go outside he runs to the gate hoping for a car ride. He is very chill but does throw his weight around when he wants attention The perfect adopter is patient and kind. Toby will need lots of reassurance to regain his confidence and to know that he is safe. His perfect adopter would be someone that can be home and with him most of the time. He seems to be ok with other dogs, but doesn't need a home with one. He is not big long periods outside, so would be happy with a daily walk. Until the profile is removed from the public’s view, the dog is considered available for adoption.  Meet and greets can be scheduled with approved adopters. Transportation from the foster home to the adopter is the responsibility of the adopter to coordinate. Just Giants does not adopt outside of the continental US. Story
Martha - Female Cane Corso Age: 3 Years Gets along with: Cats: No Dogs: Yes Kids: Unknown Location: Chicago, IL Weight: 85 lbs Martha is a giant bundle of love- she wants nothing more than to lay in your lap and cuddle. She enjoys long, leisurely walks with plenty of time to check out all the good sniff spots, and playing chase with her foster sister. She does great in her crate, both during the day and overnight and lets you know when she needs to go outside with a gentle paw placed on your lap. Martha is still a bit skittish around new people, but once she gets used to someone, she is happy to make friends. Martha would do just fine with a first time giant owner, provided they are strong enough to handle her. Her perfect adopter would be someone who is willing to give her lots of love and attention- she wants to be in your lap as often as possible. While she would certainly enjoy a fenced yard, she is doing fine without one. So far she has gotten along with every dog she has met, but another dog in the home is not a requirement. She should not go to a home with small animals (bunnies, guinea pigs, etc) as she has a very strong prey drive. Until the profile is removed from the public’s view, the dog is considered available for adoption.  Meet and greets can be scheduled with approved adopters. Transportation from the foster home to the adopter is the responsibility of the adopter to coordinate. Just Giants does not adopt outside of the continental US. Story
Dog's Name: Gracie Location : Fort Atkinson, WIAge or Date of Birth: July 2021 (estimate)Gender: FemaleBreed: Cane CorsoFoster Dog's Weight: 70 lbs Gracie gets along with:Dogs?: All Dogs Needs a slow introduction to other dogsCats?: UnknownKids?: Have not tested yet Gracie is currently pregnant for the last time and is due in August. Despite her rough start to life and only knowing being breed and kennel life, Gracie is a little princess and is very trusting of people. She prefers to spend her time on her person’s lap and with them at all times. Gracie while still young acts and plays like a puppy with other dogs, she does forget how strong she is and can knock some smaller dogs over while trying to run and play. She is not a fan of bathes, but will tolerate them if you promise to sit on the edge of the tub so she can be between your legs . She is still working on her basic commands, but is already showing great progress in the little time she has been in her foster home. She stays on her unfenced yard and comes when called. Her nights are spent on the couch with her foster siblings or in her foster mom’s bed cuddling. Although she is not a fan of getting into cars, she does love riding in them, but will try to jump out the window if given the chance. Gracie does still show occasional signs of resource guarding with treats, but is also improving on this. Gracie would do best in a home that is well educated in guardian breeds as she may be small, but she is very strong. She does not require a fence, but does like having her freedom of roaming in and out as she does in her current foster home. Gracie would do well with other dogs with slow introductions or would be completely happy as an only dog. She is nervous with anything new. Perfect from day 1 in her kennel considering was from an outdoor hoarding case: No barking, never any accidents but will talk a little when she sees her meal getting prepared! Has learned that zooming around the yard is fun but when you sit down, she would gladly get into your lap. Does wonderful on walks. Been working on the sit command and is now doing that perfectly when feeding time and ready to get leashed. America has such a loving disposition.  She would be great for a first-time giant owner and would do well with a family that did or didn't have other dogs. A fenced yard would be beneficial because she's experiencing freedom to run but long walks will work as well. She doesn't jump.
