The following is a description of Hubert from his foster mom. Because, honestly who knows a pup better than the foster family! Hubert was found alone and scared on the interstate in Mississippi. When a nice lady stopped for him, he ran right to her. His foster family has had him vetted and neutered, and now they are treating his heartworms. Hubert is about two years old. He is super cuddly, housebroken, crate-trained, and such a smart boy! He knows sit, stay, and down, and he will run to his crate and sit when you tell him to go to bed. He loves people and his toys, but he wants to chase the cat, and he is too high energy for the grumpy, elderly dogs in the home. So once Hubert has completed his heartworm treatment and is back to his active self, he hopes to have a forever home waiting for him. Hercules is looking for someone to be their hero. This 3 year old 170 pound Bull Mastiff is massive and definitely the size of a small pony. He is a lazy, affectionate big OOF that needs someone bigger and stronger than him to make him their sidekick in life. Being the only dog would be so good for him since the former owner never socialized him with other dogs. He assumed that Hercules might be a little aggressive or assertive and so we just don’t know for sure. Maybe a female dog would be fine but we doubt a male would be a good idea in the future home. He is not great on a leash. Noone took that time to really train him but it still is doable with the right person knowing how to do it. He is housebroken, crate trained and he is not destructive in the house. This boy will make you laugh, make you want to protect him (even though he is big) and he will love you unconditionally and who in the world would ever break in to your home!? Goodness they would be insane. This boy loves people though….but if you don’t know him then he could be a nice guardian. A fenced yard would be the perfect environment for everyone.
