Story
Ruby is named Ruby because Scaredy-cat is just a stupid name. She is sweet and gentle until something scares her, then she jumps. She’s good on a leash until something startles her, then she pulls…. And she’s strong. She’s a beautiful girl. Loving and gentle, loves attention but hates excitement. She’s not a guard dog, she’ll hide behind you in the threat of great danger, or if a butterfly scares her. Quiet, soft, and sweet Ruby, she wants to be right at your feet. This dog is sheltered in a foster based, nonprofit rescue. The Adoption Fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea, Tick and Heartworm Treatment and Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. Ruby's adoption fee (if picked up locally in Crossville, Tennessee) is $225. If transport is needed, her adoption fee is $525 (out of state, East Coast, Great Lakes or New England regions)Thank You for Your Interest in Adopting a Canine Companion from Foccas-tn.org!To Apply Please Copy and Paste to Your Browser:https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=hb2428&method=online_form_html&formid=41LOCATED IN CROSSVILLE, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN. Story
The following is a description of Hubert from his foster mom. Because, honestly who knows a pup better than the foster family! Hubert was found alone and scared on the interstate in Mississippi. When a nice lady stopped for him, he ran right to her. His foster family has had him vetted and neutered, and now they are treating his heartworms.  Hubert is about two years old. He is super cuddly, housebroken, crate-trained, and such a smart boy! He knows sit, stay, and down, and he will run to his crate and sit when you tell him to go to bed. He loves people and his toys, but he wants to chase the cat, and he is too high energy for the grumpy, elderly dogs in the home. So once Hubert has completed his heartworm treatment and is back to his active self, he hopes to have a forever home waiting for him. If you would like to make Hubert a part of your family please follow the link below to his adoption application https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
I was first given mylo by a co-worker because he hadd too many dogs. When mylo was first home he was extremely skinny and was riddled with worms. He quickly got better after his shots and check up. He also quickly grew attached to me. Mylo is an EXTREMELY good dog. He is more scared of other animals and people except for the loved ones that are around him. I walk him with no lease. He listens when his name is called. Mylo is also very easy to train. Ive trained him to sit, lay down, come here, to stay and follow(all using hang gestures). He cries when he is alone and only wants to be near someone. Our absolute favorite thing to do is go on walks outside for 30+ minutes around a couple blocks. (and usually without a leash).

Story
If you are interested in adopting or fostering this dog. Please visit our website - www.cockeradoptions.org   There, you will find the current status of the dog, the links to our adoption and foster applications, and detailed information about our adopting and fostering procedures.   MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hello, my name is Jackson. I need a new home. I am a mix of Cane Corso and Labrador Retriever or possibly Husky. When I finish growing, I will be a bigger love bug. Since I don't have any training, the best home for me has people who have puppy experience who can help with my training and acclimating to the outside world. The people in my new home should be able to teach me the skills I need to be a great pet: walking on a lead, house training, and socializing. The CSAC volunteer said that I was cuddly, affectionate, and gentle. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished family pet. Hope to see you soon. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Click the Donate menu at the top of the screen. Story
Two to Three year old female Dogo Argentino needs a new home in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Northern Virginia area). We fostered her as a favor for a friend who had serious medical problems. He and his family will no longer be able to take care of her. She is deaf but does well walking and training, gets along with others dogs, does well inside and outside, and loves people. Unknown how she interacts with cats. We can send more pictures and video as requested. Please contact for a meet and greet.
