Story
If you would like more information about Beefcake or are interested in adopting him, please send an email to wang.aliceh@gmail.com or contact this number, (832) 434 7882 Beefcake is a master of disguise – we’ve come to learn that he’s actually a Golden Retriever stuck in his big boy Pittie/Cane Corso body. He’s ~1 yr old, 55 lbs (maybe has 5-10 more lbs to gain), and is an absolute goofball. He plays wonderfully with other dogs and loves to play tag and wrestle but is also respectful of dogs that may not be interested in playing. If there aren’t any dogs to play with, he also enjoys a game of tug or fetch with his foster humans! He would love to have a doggie sibling (especially one that loves to play with him) but would also be just fine as a solo pup. If you’re looking for a weighted blanket, look no further. In the house, Beefcake transforms into a loaf and his preferred cuddle position is directly on top of you. He’ll never say no to a movie night, but he has no preference on genre so it’s your pick every night! He’s very quiet and isn’t bothered by outside noises / sights (e.g., lawnmowers, garbage trucks, passing dogs, etc.) so he makes for a great working-from-home partner too. He’s up to date on all vaccines, neutered, house trained, and crate trained. He loves to learn – he knows how to sit, walks well on a leash (except when he sees a squirrel), working on his place command, and is generally keen to learn new things. Other things to know: - He has a high prey drive, especially for squirrels. We’re working on this every day and he’s improving, but his new family should be prepared to help him continue working through this to ensure walks are enjoyable for everyone. - He’s interested in the neighborhood outdoor cats and has politely met one that was laying down. However, with his prey drive, he may be better in a home without cats. - He hasn’t had the opportunity to meet children directly, but he has walked past them in close proximity / watched them at the Farmer’s Market and at the park and didn’t seem bothered or overly interested. We think he’d be okay in a home with kids but it would be best if they’re older given his size and energy levels. Beefcake is located in Houston, TX but can be transported out of state. Story
Lady is a loving and loyal Cane Corso/Staffordshire Terrier mix who has been in foster care for the past 12 months. She thrives in a calm, stable environment and would do best as the only dog in the home. Lady is affectionate, enjoys spending time with people she trusts, and is ready to bond with a family who can offer her the love and structure she needs. Lady was rescued from a high-kill shelter and has adjusted well to life in foster care. She is an intelligent and resourceful dog, so it is important that she has a very secure area and kennel to ensure her safety. Lady is looking for an experienced owner who can provide the secure and structured environment she needs to thrive. If you are an experienced dog owner who can offer Lady the care and attention she deserves as the only dog in a safe, secure environment, please reach out to give her the loving home she needs.

Meet Beefcake A049358. One look at him and you`ll be able to see how he got his name. And remember - if he`s this handsome in this condition imagine his gorgeousness when he recovers! This handsome boy seems to have been attacked by another dog. He`s got multiple wounds - thankfully none of which seem to be too serious, and they don`t seem to be very fresh. We`ve started him on medications to help keep him comfortable, and with time and patience he should make a smooth recovery. Despite all he`s been though Beefcake us super sweet and all smiles...except for when his lip gets stuck on his teeth and he looks like a total doofus. He seems to be on the calmer side as well.

C-C was surrendered, past their adoptable evaluation and accepted into (no-kill shelter) Citizens for Animal Protection 17555 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77094 Cap4pets.org Please check there for availability. An extremely high energy, lovable, female. 50% Cane Corso/Presa Canario. DOB 9/21/2023, we've had since 7wks old. Beautiful Distinct Black/Orange Brindle w/white Chest. Ears/tail not altered. UTD: Shots/Health checks/Heartworm/Flea/Tick. Vet records on file at request. Raised around older Great Danes. Socialized, as far as the occasional shopping at dog friendly stores. Sleeps with us, occasional lap dog (Yes, all 95lbs)! As an older couple, we found too late, that we are not a good fit for her high active needs nor her much needed and consistent training required of these breeds. She would make a great loyal companion for an active jogger, for example. Someone that loves a dog by your side and in her sights constantly (Literally). Local pickup only. Can meet within 50mi.
