Story
Bear (A111154) is a 13-year-old kitty who weighed nearly 17 pound on intake and is in need of a diet!08/05/26 Bear, previously known as Arthus, was brought back to the shelter due to his previous owners going through a divorce and not being able to find pet-friendly housing in Fairbanks. Bear was described as being shy but friendly and affectionate. He was said to do well with kids, dogs and usually cats. He has only ever lived with two other cats, one he liked and one he didn't. It is unclear why he preferred one to the other, so we recommend using caution if planning to introduce him to other cats. He can be shy around strangers but warms up quickly. Bear was said to be litter box trained and to be gentle when playing. He was treated for ear mites on intake, but now he has been given the all clear for adoption! If you are interested in meeting this sweet, older boy, please give us a call!07/20/17 Arthus was surrendered to the shelter because he was an intact male who was spraying in the house. Since his arrival at the shelter, Arthus has been neutered and has been using his litter box consistently! He is slightly timid, but is a very sweet boy who is looking for a loving home. Arthus has not been around dogs, and due to his shy nature would probably not enjoy living with one, especially a loud or energetic dog.August 10, 2026, 6:12 pm

Story
Ziggy (A143023) is a 9-year-old kitty who weighed 18 lbs at intake!08/07/26 Ziggy and his buddy Lady were brought to the shelter following a divorce and due to lack of housing in Fairbanks that allows animals. Mister Ziggy can be shy and timid in new situations. He was said to be fearful of babies, children and dogs, so we are recommending his next home be without littles or doggos. He was said to do well with other cats (as long as appropriate introductions are done). Ziggy was said to be litter box training, and he is used to be an indoor only cat. If you are interested in meeting Ziggy, please give us a call!August 10, 2026, 6:12 pm

Story
Uggie, 1 year old, and Suki, 2 years old, are looking for a loving home. They both love to inspect what their humans are doing, snuggle with each other and their humans, and explore and lounge outside. They are looking for a home with safe outdoor access; not a catio, but a good sized yard (or farm) where they can safely explore. The are harnessed trained. They also will need to be fed a grain free wet food diet.Uggie is very friendly, greets strangers, does well with other cats, and has an easy going temperament. Suki is timid, yet very loving and loyal, and will need more time to adjust to her forever home.I am looking for an exceptionally loving, caring and enriching home for these sweet girls. Their health is very important to me and I would also like them to be in a home where all aspects of their health is monitored, including making sure they maintain a healthy weight.Thank you for taking the time to read this and please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.
