Story
Spencer is a handsome brown and white tabby DSH! He's a sweet and friendly boy who loves to cuddle and get scratches behind his ears. Spencer weighs about 14 pounds, so he's a big boy, but don't let his size intimidate you! He's a gentle giant who loves to snuggle and warms up to new people quickly. Spencer would do best in a home with no other cats. His estimated DOB is 10/1/20. Spencer came to the shelter as a stray, so we don't have any background information on him. When he arrived, Spencer tested positive for FIV. NOTE: An FIV+ cat will have the same life span as an FIV negative cat, as long the cat receives proper medical care and attention. FIV is spread amongst cats by direct blood contact (usually through a deep puncture wound). FIV is not transmissible to humans.Spencer has a food allergy and requires special food and daily medications. He does require a medical consult with the HSPC vet prior to leaving shelter. Our adoption fee is $125 for small breed dogs under 20 pounds and $100 for all other dogs and cats unless otherwise noted in their bio. Every pet available for adoption is current on shots spayed/neutered, and microchipped. You may submit an application online for pre-approval and to set an appointment or you can visit the shelter Wednesday - Sunday from 11am - 5pm. Please note that the kennels close for pet viewing at 4:30pm.

Story
Dizzy is an orange tabby Domestic Short Hair cat. Dizzy gets his name from the way he walks. This special boy has a condition called cerebellar hypoplasia. Cats with cerebellar hypoplasia (CH) can live long, happy lives with proper care and help, but they may need some extra TLC. CH is a permanent condition that affects a cat's brain development, making it difficult for them to control their movements, balance, and coordination. Dizzy can sometimes be a bit more irritable due to his condition, and he doesn't have precise control of his extremities, so we would like for him to go home with an experienced cat owner or someone who is willing to maintain a safe environment for this clumsy boy. He lived with his previous owner for several years until his owner was no longer able to care for him. He has never been around dogs, but seems to like other cats just fine. Dizzy's condition isn't the only thing that makes him special. He is also a very sweet and loving cat who enjoys exploring his space and playing with toys. Dizzy loves giving and receiving cuddles, but only when he is the one to initiate them. His estimated birth date is 1/1/2019.Our adoption fee is $125 for small breed dogs under 20 pounds and $100 for all other dogs and cats unless otherwise noted in their bio. Every pet available for adoption is current on shots spayed/neutered, and microchipped. You may submit an application online for pre-approval and to set an appointment or you can visit the shelter Wednesday - Sunday from 11am - 5pm.
