Good with cats, Needs special attention, House-trained,
Story
Ozzie is a 1-year-old beautiful tabby and white darling. This beautiful girl can't decide if she is primarily affectionate or curious. Ozzie wants all the love then darts out to check out something in the room and come right back for more loving. There is still so much kitten in this sweet girl! Poor darling had a some strange behaviours we discovered were related to her hormones. She managed to have a bit of ovary elsewhere in her belly that had to be found and removed. She has now had her second "spay" and is back on track. She has become even more affectionate now that she is feeling better! Ozzie only has one kidney. The one she has works great, but she is on a primarily wet food diet (not a prescription) to keep her nice and hydrated. This was discovered during her first spay and should not affect her life span, lifestyle, or health. Just like humans, cats can live a wonderful life with one kidney. No one had any indication there was an issue until her spay. The adoption fee is $125 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. The adoption fee helps cover the cost of these vetting procedures.  Please note, we do NOT allow declawing of any cat or kitten that we adopt out, unless deemed medically necessary.  We will gladly provide you with alternative methods of managing cats with claws. If you are interesed in any of our animals please fill out an application on our website www.townandcountryanimalrescue.org After you have submitted an application and been approved, a Cat Team member will reach out to set up a “meet and greet” between you and the pet. The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the cat team members or the foster. If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit.** Please be sure to follow us on Facebook to learn more about Town and Country Animal Rescue and our mission ##2052624##

Good with kids, Not good with cats, House-trained,
Story
Lucky is a recused cat from a farm just under 2 years ago. We found her July of 2023 and the vet estimated she was around 6 weeks old. We had 2 other male cats at the time and she got along with them great. In early December we lost the eldest male cat. In late December we decided to add 2 more cats to the home. During this time Lucky tried to become the "alpha" and has been over doing it. She attacks the new cats and no longer plays nicely with the older male cat. We tried to keep the cats separate and reintroduce several times to her attacking all the cats. The vet recommended some meds which we have done for about a month and it has not really helped. While she is loopy/high she doesn't want to do anything but as soon as the meds start to wear off she goes back to searching out the new cat to attack them. Unfortunately her trying to see out the new cat has become too much and the new cat is cowering from her. She is really a nice cat if she is the only one.
