Story
Penny is a sweet cat who loves to lay on the couch and soak up some sun rays. Not clingy, independent but enjoys a good scratch. We are wanting to rehome her because she has accidents urinating outside her littler box even though she is litter trained.

Story
This new friend has just arrived! They have come to us either as a transfer from another shelter, being found as a stray, or have been surrendered to us by their owner. When our friends are new to us, we are typically unsure of their full background, litter box habits, comfort with handling, or experience with other pets or children. Our staff will spend some time reviewing any information provided by previous owners and spend some time with our new friend so that we can better update their biography. In the meantime, you are welcome to submit an adoption questionnaire if interested in adoption! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat, but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We recommend household members, including children, come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.
We'll also keep you updated on Henry (Bonded with Remy)'s adoption status with email updates.

Story
ABOUT LEON This handsome black and white kitty is Leon! He came to HAP when he was found wandering as a stray. We aren't too sure of his background but our vet estimates him to be around 2 years old. Upon his arrival, he was very underweight and begging to be loved. He has regained some healthy weight and will surely melt into you for some treats. Leon is truly a lover boy, enjoying head pets and pawing at you for more when you stop. He has come out of his shell over time, showing us that he also enjoys playtime and is comfortable tolerating other laid-back cats! If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Story
ABOUT LUNA When Luna's owner was undergoing cancer treatment, she realized that she would not be able to keep Luna much longer, so she came to HAP for help. Luna is a 3-year-old girl who spent her entire life in a home. Understandably, Luna was very sad and scared to be in the shelter. Despite her fears, Luna has always remained a shy, but very sweet kitty. She loves making biscuits, playing with her toys, and most favorably, being loved. If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. Story
ABOUT SHELBY This one-eyed beauty is our girl Shelby! She came to HAP from a high-intake shelter in New Jersey when they no longer had space for her. Despite being in the shelter, she settled in beautifully and has been quite the favorite around here! Shelby spent a couple of months as our lobby cat, greeting all visitors and leaning into everyone for love. She enjoys playing with jingles balls and wand toys, zooming quickly to bat them around. She also appreciates a good afternoon nap, either cuddled up with you or cozy on her bed. Shelby is very friendly when meeting new people, though she is also a confident girl and will set boundaries if she gets overwhelmed with a gentle tap. While Shelby is social with people, she is seeking a home as your only cat.
