Ideal Home: Ready to Play!Qualities: Affectionate, Playful, Silly, Future AstronautMcShane is our 1 year old mini panther who has made the ultimate debut on the adoption scene! This boy loves to run, jump and play each chance he gets. He is bursting with fun energy and always looking for an adventure. McShane adorably carries his toys from one room to another, sneakily exploring new fun places. Whether it be catnip mousies or your keys, nothing is safe with McShane and his silly games!McShane enjoys spending his time playing with his toys or finding a good cozy spot for a catnap. He loves attention and would thinks it would be pawsome to have another friendly feline to hang out with. But fellow kitties aren't his only favorite, McShane loves the resident doggo in his foster home and adores zooming around with him!If you've got a soft spot for this panther to land along with a good cat condo and sun beams by a big window, you'll want to apply to be McShane's forever human fast! Applications are available below, don't miss out!*You can meet McShane at PetSmart in Warwick today. Please no phone calls to the store, our team at Ten Lives is the best source to answer any questions you have!___________________________Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in adopting from Ten Lives! Apply here:  https://tenlivescatrescue.org/adoptionapp/Please Note:If the cat or kitten is no longer listed in the drop-down menu of the application then they are no longer available for adoption and we are not accepting applications. Due to limited volunteer power, applications submitted for cats or kittens no longer available will not be reviewed. About Ten Lives:Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.

Story
I adopted Pickles a little over a year ago and he's been an absolute joy in my life. He's three years old and about 10lbs. He'll love to hang out around you and always down to play. According to adoption center he was a barn cat in the first year or so of his life. He may be skittish/shy — especially initially — but with love, warmth, and encouragement, he will open up and show all the love and charm he has to offer. He is very sweet and loves to be pet but it's important to keep an eye on his body language as he may give you a soft warning nip (we're still working on this with him). I think the most important thing is that he lives in a home with a patient and kind owner. For context, I'm moving down to Philadelphia and just learned I wouldn't be able to bring him with me. I will surrender him to an adoption center if I am unable to find someone to take him. I figured I'd start here. Please let me know if you have any questions.
