Story
Ringo is a shy 2 year old boy who loves soft pets, especially the neck area. He also enjoys playing and hiding in his kitty tunnel and napping with his head on his toys. If Ringo sounds like the perfect friend for you, apply today! We are pre-approving applicants. To schedule an appointment, first fill out our adoption application ( https://cb8f5fb7-0a87-40fa-8ea5-50c4da40acd3.filesusr.com/ugd/c8cb9f_8cd13866ecd54a42a2b424d2b2f8dc10.pdf ). This will ask you questions about which animal you’re interested in, your family, other furry members in the household, whether you own or rent your home and who your Veterinarian is. These allow us to make the best match possible. We touch base with your landlord due to the unfortunate number of landlords who do not allow pets in Franklin County. Our goal with checking in with your Veterinarian is to ensure that the animals of FCAR receive the medical care they deserve. Once we have a positive reference from your landlord (if you rent) and Veterinarian, we will contact you to schedule an appointment with us! If you don't have any pets we understand you would not have a vet reference and we ask for applicants to substitute a personal reference. Please keep in mind, appointments are first come, first serve, based on when your application is approved. Please be patient with your Veterinarian and landlord, as their staff and businesses have been affected by COVID-19 as well. We are incredibly thankful that there has been no shortage in interest! This being said, our staff is limited and we are doing our absolute best to approve applications in a timely manner. This process can take up to a few weeks, but most are approved before then.

Story
Hello, I`m Odin. I came into the shelter with my siblings, and am well socialized. I am silly & playful just as a kitten should be. With a slow introduction, I should be fine with dogs, children and another cat.

Story
Rider (and Harley) came to CVHS when their elderly owner passed away and the homes of loving family members were too hectic to add more felines. Rider, while more outgoing when staff goes into his cat colony room, shows signs of stress here at CVHS. Rider came into our care with a history of a urinary tract infection. To help keep this feline from having any other urinary issues down the road, he should be a wet food only cat (no dry kibble or treats). At the adoption center we are also giving him a Cosequin bladder supplement to help his urinary tract, and trying to limit stress, which can cause urinary flair ups. So far, Rider seems not to care that his feline housemate is here with him. Since he is prone to stress, we are looking for a home for Rider that is not chaotic with dogs or young children. At this time we do not feel these two cats need to live together.

Story
Harley came to CVHS when his elderly owner passed away. He is taking some time to get familiar with his surroundings here, and can be seen watching staff from a hidey hole. He does have a feline roommate (Rider) who he lived with in his prior home. So far we have not seen them engage with each other, so do not feel they need to go together to their next home. With Harley`s timid personality a quiet home with no dogs or young children would be best. Another feline may or may not matter to him.
