Story
This is Chloe. She's 4 years old and will be 5 on April 18th. She's spayed and UTD on shots, she had her 3 year rabies shot this past July. We adopted Chloe from another person who had gotten her for her daughters. When the daughters didn't take care of her like they had promised and the mom didn't have the time to, she came to live with us. However, we weren't made aware beforehand that she is not good with other female dogs. Every male dog She's come in contact with, including our own, she's done great with, but all three female dogs She's met, she's gotten into fights with, including our other female dog. We have tried everything we can think of to get the two of them to get along, but even when things seem like they'll go well and our other female tries to play with her, Chloe attacks her. She is absolutely the sweetest thing with all people. She adores all of our kids and loves sleeping next to them, you get butt wiggles and kisses when you get home.

Story
Dog Name: Denali. Breed: Catahoula/Pit mix Sex: Female Age: 3 Weight: 69lbs. Medical needs: Zero! Housebroken: Yes, she alerts at the door. Crate trained: Yes. She goes in without issue and gets a treat. Sleeps quietly and sometimes retreats to it for a nap. Good in the car: Yep. She’d much prefer to be your co-pilot though. She needs a seatbelt Good on a leash: Denali is strong! She is currently walked on a martingale collar. This prevents her neck from being harmed should she decide to pull. Denali is short and squatty, so if she smells or sees something of particular interest, her instinct is to dig in and pull. She is pretty easily redirected, overall she walks pretty well. Energy level: Medium. Denali enjoys a good game of fetch and will also entertain herself with toys or bones. If she’s walked regularly and has time to play, the rest of the time will be spent snoring away. Need a fenced in yard: No but she’d LOVE it. She loves to be outside, so you should plan to spend some time with her on a leash walking, exploring and playing if no fence. Dog Friendly: Yes. Denali is a bit nervous and insecure at first so she requires a slow introduction. In other words, she shouldn’t be forced to interact with any dogs immediately and may require space and time to observe before meeting. She does best with dogs her size or bigger because she does think she should be the CEO. If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive home: No, she would love to have you all to yourself. Cat friendly: No. Kid Friendly: Yes. If yes, what's the youngest age: She’s had exposure to a range of ages in her previous home and foster home. I have not observed her with any small children but feel comfortable saying 10+ due to her size. Traits that make your foster special: Denali is a total love bug. She just wants alllllll the loving. She will usually plop herself in front of you and put her head in your lap and request some pets or she will plop on you and request them as well. She LOVES to snuggle with you. She is also quite the silly goose as well. Her personality is very fun! Denali was previously adopted but was returned to GRR. Her owner experienced an unexpected medical emergency and was no longer able to care for her. When she first came to her previous foster home she was reserved and nervous. Her tail didn’t move much and though she sought them out for love, it took her about 10 days to fully relax and show us her whole, silly personality. When Denali came to us (her current foster family) she was nothing but love and her true self right off the jump! It was a great transition from one foster family to another. If you can imagine a happy, little hippo, then you get the picture. Denali can be found zooming around the yard, playing ball (she is a ball fanatic!), playing with the resident dogs, taking a sniffari, or lounging around the house just relaxing. As stated she LOVES to be outside and would love to show you her cool jump moves! This big girl has some hops! She’s settled in quite nicely and now it’s time for her take the next big step and find her fur-ever home. If you’re looking for a companion that will motivate you to get outside then reward yourself with a little Netflix and chill, Denali is your girl. Foster’s Location: New Castle, De. Story
Wrangler is being fostered in PA. Wrangler has some limited vision. Wrangler is a sweet 4-month-old Husky/Catahoula Leopard Dog mix. His vision isn’t perfect, but he does have some sight. His eyes did not develop properly. But it doesn’t stop him from enjoying life to the fullest. He loves to play with other dogs and loves to cuddle with humans. He would do well in a home with other dogs to play with, and a fenced yard to run around in. Wrangler is a smart puppy and is learning commands quickly. He got a late start at potty training and learning commands but picking things up. He loves toys and nylabones to chew on. He also loves to chew on antlers and anything else hard. Wrangler does not like being left alone in a crate, so he has been sleeping with the other dogs and his foster Mom and doing well. He will sleep through the night with someone in bed. Wrangler will make a wonderful addition to a family and bring lots of laughs and joy and love. He is still growing so has plenty of time to learn so much and become a great dog for a loving family. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
