Story
Are you shy? Do you have a past? Well, so does Jim. He came to us from a not so nice person. He was shut down and terrified of everything. Now after some work and confidence building he is learning to trust and to love again. Jim is a special guy who just needs patience to make you a friend. He loves other dogs but not so much cats. He is great with women after you've earned his trust. Men are harder for him unfortunately but if you're willing to be patient then maybe you could take a chance on this handsome guy. Once you earn his trust he is the most amazing, loving, kind, silly boy you'd meet! If you're anything like him and have a past you know just how hard it is to gain your trust but when people do you're the best thing in the world. Could he build trust with you? If Jim seems like the perfect boy to take a chance on, please apply on the MACS website!August 19, 2024, 9:51 pm

Story
Meet Basil, a charming 1-year-3-month-old female Catahoula Leopard Dog mix with a beautiful white and grey coat, weighing around 26 pounds. Basil is a sweet and energetic pup who loves to play and explore. She gets along wonderfully with other puppies, making her an ideal companion for households with other dogs. Basil did come to us with an old injury that required the amputation of her right front leg but it hasn't slowed her down! Her spirit hasn't dampened and she's ready to be adopted. If you're interested in Basil please fill out an online application or call the Humane Society at 770-887-6480. Our adoption hours are Tuesday through Thursday 11-5 and Friday and Saturday 1-5. Basil says come by and meet her!

Story
Pancake is an adorable Lab/Catahoula Mix puppy looking for his forever family! This cutie was born on 5/25/24, and is full of puppy love and happiness! He&#39s very sweet, smart, and has an irresistibly cute cowlick on his forehead! He is currently working on his potty training, crate training, and basic leash skills. Pancake loves other dogs and will require another friendly and playful pup in his forever home. He gets nervous when left alone, so being near his family often, and another pup, will be helpful as he grows and gains confidence. This cutie has lots of puppy energy and will also require a fenced yard where he can run and play. Pancake will be fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped before an adoption his finalized. These costs will be covered by BarkVille Dog Rescue. If you&#39re interested in adopting this sweet boy, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or submit an application at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications. BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.August 16, 2024, 9:03 pm

Story
Marie is a real go-getter.  She loves an active life, she loves the water and would like a family who can help her get out her energy and share her zest for life.   She is a little cautious with new people but warms up quickly.  No litle kids for her because she is bigger and high energy.  Bigger kids are okay. She does need to be an only pet. Age: 2 years  Weight: approx 60 lbs   Vetting: Up-to-date on vaccines, spayed, and heartworm negative   Temperament: not good with other dogs or cats, initially cautious with new people, best with older kids.  Training: House trained, crate trained, some well trained.  Contact email:  Sheltersxshelvesrescue@gmail.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded, and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself August 20, 2024, 8:57 am

Story
Ahoy there! SeaBiscuit here, looking to sail away to a good home! Landlubbers say I have gorgeous coloring and am rather unique looking (I would say aye to that.) I narrowly escaped being euthanized for space at an overcrowded shelter but a kind family saw my photo and decided to foster me. Talk about lucky!! Here are a few things to know about me. I am an energetic mate but settle down quickly. My fosters say I just melt into them and can’t get enough cuddling and snuggling. I am good with their teenage daughter and love her so much. I am friendly, playful, fun, know sit, give kisses, affectionate. I am house trained and crate trained. I know sit, lay down commands and I am working on touch, focus, turn, and stay commands. What else do you need to know? I have enjoyed the company of other dogs at the shelter and am trying to make friends with the dog in my foster home, except he’s taking his time to get to know me. I was going to put this message in a bottle but people tell me the internet is faster. So, please consider me, SeaBiscuit and allow me to sail into your home and heart! Check out my YouTube Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/cv12D8OLm5s Age: 2.9 years Weight: 62 lbs Vetting: Up-to-date on vaccines, neutered and heartworm  negative and on prevention Temperament: Good with other dogs.  Good with older, respectful kids.   Training, House trained, crate trained, knows several commands  Email for questions: sonaligokhale@yahoo.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review.
