Story
Subaru, 1 of 8 in our Fast & Furriest litter, is a Catahoula Leopard Dog mix who will be medium-large when full grown. Born 5/23/2024, Subaru currently weighs about 8 pounds. Like her sister Lexus, she loves running around in the house or yard, playing with toys, chewing on bones, playing with other dogs, and cuddling in your lap. Subaru is good with everyone she meets and is described as friendly, outgoing, happy, and playful. Her foster mom shared that Subaru is the most adorable combination of spicy and sweet.  Subaru, affectionately called Roo by her foster family, lives to play and often tries to take on her much larger foster siblings in rowdy wrestling matches. Roo is deaf and she loves to be with her people as much as possible. Due to her hearing impairment she will cry loudly when she doesn’t see them, so she needs a home without shared walls. Roo will benefit from a fenced-in yard, as she is unable to hear her owner calling for her. If you're looking for a playful and affectionate companion who loves both outdoor adventures and snuggling, Subaru would make a wonderful addition to your family. Her loving nature will make her a special and cherished member of her forever home! Her minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
Bentley, 1 of 8 in our Fast & Furriest litter, is a Catahoula Leopard Dog mix who will be medium-large when full grown. Born 5/23/2024, Bentley currently weighs about 8 pounds. Like his littermate Jeep, he's actively working on crate training and can be very vocal in the crate but eventually settles down.  This charismatic and loyal puppy loves running around the house, spending time in the yard, and playing with toys and other dogs. Bentley gets along well with big dogs, male dogs, strangers, men, women, and adores children of all ages. He is described as friendly, playful, and loyal, always wanting to be near his people. While he enjoys belly and neck scratches, Bentley doesn't need to be held or cuddled as much as his brother, Jeep. His foster family notes that despite being smaller, Bentley is more outgoing and takes on a leadership role with his brother. He follows "his people" around and loves to be near them, enjoying outdoor time and lounging in the grass in the shade.  If you're looking for an outgoing and affectionate companion who loves outdoor adventures and belly scratches, Bentley would make a wonderful addition to your family! His minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
Jenna is the most cuddley puppy! She likes to play with other dogs and play with her toys but she will most definitely always find her spot in your lap. She is crate trained and has had no accidents in the house. She has been around small children and does great with them. All Pet Central animals are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped (registration included), and current on parasite prevention. Dogs over six-months of age are heartworm tested. When adopting, we will ensure that you receive copies of veterinary and microchip records. If you are interested in this pet, please fill out the brief Adopter Survey by hitting "Apply for Adoption" on the profile. After we review your completed survey we will contact you by phone or email within three business days. We're primarily a volunteer organization, so we appreciate your patience. Please note- Out of respect for our volunteers and staff, we are closed on Sundays and Mondays and will not be processing any applications on that day. Do get back to us right away when we call or email regarding an application so that we can quickly connect using the process below: Select a pet and submit an online adoption survey. A PCH adoption counselor will contact potential adopters within three business days (PCH cannot guarantee any pet's availability, but we make every effort to accommodate adopters with a reply and possible alternative suggestions). Counselor and client will then have a conversation to answer questions, discuss any medical needs for the pet and determine the suitability of a match (if necessary, we may opt to put adopters in touch with foster parents). After a match is made, clients will be asked to sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee online through our secure payment system *Please see our modified no-risk return policy. (below) The PCH adoption counselor will then set up a specific appointment time and location. Adopters should bring a pet carrier and leash to pick up. Adult pets will be wearing a collar. It is important that clients arrive on time, neither early nor late. If your adoption is scheduled at Pet Central Helps!: Upon arrival inside the Crossroads Center complex (360 Wylie Drive), look for the black Pet Central Helps! semi-trailer, which is right outside of our facility (Suite 720). Park in the parking lot and enter the facility. A PCH representative will greet you and show you to the adoption room. Your new pet will be handed to you. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at PetSmart: Park in the PetSmart Parking lot and enter the store. We will be set up just inside the store entrance. Let us know you are here to pick up your pet! A PCH representative will confirm your information and hand you your pet. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day photo with your pet and family. PCH supports a 21-day no-fault return policy in which adopters are given the opportunity to find a better match. If we are not able to provide advice/tools to keep a pet in the home we offer these options: Exchange for a pet that may be a better match** Receive a refund minus a $40 processing fee** With this approach, we can often turn mismatches into opportunities! Thank you, Pet Central Helps!
