Story
Star was rescued in Louisiana. A lady that found her called me and said that she could not find a rescue group in Louisiana to take her. She had a gunshot wound through her jaw and ear. She was in pain. She brought her to me in Mississippi, and I got her the medical treatment that she needed. She had jaw surgery, and now her tongue permanently hangs out. We think this makes her uniquely special!! I know that her tongue hanging out may be a deterrent for a permanent home, but Star is such a sweet baby. She cannot help it that somebody shot her. She is a Catahoula hound, and her tail is docked. Star is a very sweet and loves to ride in the car. She loves dogs, and she loves children. She loves to roll over for a belly rub, and she knows the sit command. She is extremely smart. She loves to load up and ride in the car, and I believe that she was somebody’s baby at one time! Star has been in foster care and boarding for a while, and she wants a forever home! Also, if you live out of state, we use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. We alternate between the Northeast and the Midwest every other weekend. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee.

Special requirements: Cannot be home alone for longer than 3 hoursMeet Milton, a 2.5-month-old Catahoula Leopard dog mix with a heart full of love and energy! Currently in foster care, this friendly little guy is always ready to make new friends, whether they’re humans or fellow dogs. HIs foster mom says he’s completely potty-trained, and that he already knows the importance of listening to the word `no.` Milton walks beautifully on a leash and loves his playtime, especially with the resident black lab at home. With his sweet nature and eagerness to please, Milton would be the perfect addition to any home looking for a joyful, well-behaved puppy!

Story
Meet Lincoln! My name is Lincoln, and I was born on 10/20/2024 in Texas with my eight siblings! I am one of the 6 girls in the litter. What breed am I? Me and my siblings are a colorful bunch, so it’s anyone’s guess! Whatever I am, I’m 100% adorable! I am the most affectionate of all my siblings. I have quickly learned how great it is to have people around to give me pets and snuggles whenever I want! Sometimes I get so excited about the love I’m given that all I can do is wiggle and roll around under their hands. I don’t even like to stop and eat my meals if someone is within petting reach. I do play with my brothers and sisters and like to run around sometimes; I would just rather give kisses than anything else. I’ve been busy at my foster home with all my brothers and sisters and my two foster siblings. I do great with the large, adult dogs that live here and have liked every other dog I’ve met so far. I haven’t met any cats yet, but I think I would like them too, even if they don’t appreciate my puppy curiosity. There is a 12-year-old boy that lives here; I get so excited to play with him and love every kid I have met so far! I spent much time with any really young children yet, but if you watch my excitement around them, I should be just fine. I have been working on walking on a leash, but I haven’t decided if I like it yet. I like playing outside, but I would rather be carried on walks than do the adventuring on my own. I am most comfortable playing in the back yard where I’m familiar with the area. I love to zoom as fast as I can when I’m out in a place I know well. I haven’t been potty trained yet, but I do try my hardest to use my pee pads. I know what “potty” means and will go every time I’m let outside. I’m still learning how to let people know that I need to go out, though. I can sit and lay when I’m told to, but laying is tough when all I want to do is be in your lap. I haven’t been left home completely alone yet, as I have my brothers and sisters with me. That may take me a little time to get used to, but I don’t think crate training will be an issue for me. I take corrections very well and should learn quickly with my new family. I’m having so much fun and learning so much every day, but I can’t wait to meet my new family! Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). . It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. DINKLEY - SPRING ADOPTION SPECIAL $50 Dinkley will need a special adopter. Someone that can care for his special needs. He is a 1.5 YRS old, 40 pound catahoula mix. He is very energetic and definitely needs help learning his puppy manners still. He is very, very smart. He enjoys wobble feeders, kongs, and puzzle toys. He has not been formally dog tested yet but we are happy to get that officially done, at a later date. After a few initial barks he settled down during a through-fence meeting. Dinkley is just a baby and deserves to live for as long as his heart will let him. Hopefully, he can live a long life with proper medical care! Dinkley has been diagnosed with possible Pulmonary Stenosis. It is under control and the vet feels he has a full life a head of him. He will need to see the cardiologist probably twice a year for follow up. His adoption fee is $50.
