Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, I’m Bobb, and I’m just a baby!  They say I’m a Catahoula Lab mix, whatever that means. I’m on the hunt for a home where I can share all my love and energy. I’m great with kids, adults, and other dogs, bonus, I’m super friendly, so I’ll fit right in with your family! I’ve got a reputation as a big lover boy – giving kisses and cuddles is how I show I care! I also love to play, but watch out, if you’re not paying attention, I might bark to get you to join me in some fun. I love toys, water, and any opportunity to hang with my people. I’m pretty good in the car and will be a great travel buddy. As I grow older, I’ll need some training and socialization to help me become the best dog I can be. I’m eager to please, so I’ll be a quick learner and with the right guidance, I’ll be a well-rounded, happy, and well-behaved pup, ready for lots of adventures with my active family! If you're looking for a goofy, affectionate, and playful pup, I'm your guy! Let’s make some memories together! Bobb is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 3/22 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am-12pm. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame.  Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. *Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.* If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 15, 2025, 4:37 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, I’m Kevin.  I was found, abandoned in a box at a construction job site.  It was just days before a big freeze down in Texas, and we were all only 7 days old!  We were all brought into rescue, and bottle fed for the beginning of our lives.  We have all received proper nutrition and age appropriate veterinary car, and now it is time for everyone to find their very own homes!   I’m pretty new here, and I’m excited to see what a “family” is all about!  They say my brother and I are a Catahoula Lab mixes, whatever that means. I’m on the hunt for a home where I can share all my love and energy. I’m great with kids, adults, and other dogs.   Kevin is a young, energetic dog who is full of personality. He has been working diligently on his leash-training with his current Texan Foster, and they have found that he and does better on a harness for walks than a collar.  (We also recommend walking all dogs using a harness and not their collar for safety reasons)  Kevin is also working on potty training, but is no where near fully trained.  Consistency is key when potty training puppies.  They all work on the following schedule.. sleep, eat, play, poop and repeat!  taking your pup outside immediately upon waking up, bringing them back inside for breakfast, and then back outside again 20-30 minutes later to "do their business".  Making sure not to play with him while he's supposed to be going potty, as puppies have notoriously short attention spans.  Kevin is kennel trained and takes his meals, as well as any high value treats, there as well.   Bonus, I’m super friendly, so I’ll fit right in with your family!  I am a larger puppy and full of that puppy vigor, so I might not be the perfect pup for a family with young children that could possibly be knocked over.  I love to play, and I’m learning how to do play gently.  They know I can be gentle, because I am so gentle with my blankie during naps. Story
If you love big cheesy grins, then Jay is the man! Jay has the most toothy BIG smile that tells you that this boy is nothing but a big easy going and happy fellow. Jay was born at Let Love Live to mama Echo and was adopted out as a puppy. But, when he grew into a big, bouncy, older pup, the family no longer wanted him. In fact, they cared so little for him that somehow he got out of their fenced yard and they never tried finding him. A humane society in MN received him and contacted us to let us know they had him. When the owners were contacted, they said they did not want him back. :(. That's just fine with us because this sweet boy deserves so much more! If you are looking for your best bestie who will walk a 100 miles and a 1,000 more with you, look no further. If you are looking for that guy who will make you smile and laugh every single day, even when you're sad, Jay is the one. Walks great on leash, plays well with other dogs, cats and kiddos. Jay is ready for the greatest love of his life! Could that be you? Let Love Live rescues animals in Texas and many southern states. Catahoula cuddles and cuteness! You will never see a more stunning color than in these beauties rescued from almost being destroyed by their previous owner. They are very mellow, smart and affectionate puppies who are typical hound behaviors. Ready to play with some kids, go on hikes, run in the park! Don't pass them by! Ready for their forever families! Let Love Live believes in an easy, simple and low barrier adoption process. Gone are the days of home visits and reference checks. The questions we ask on our application are to help make sure we get the right pet into your home, not to exclude adopters. Let Love Live rescues animals in Texas and many southern states. Story
Nora found herself at the shelter when her owner went into assisted living and she could not go with. Now this sweet girl is in a foster home and this is what they have to say about her: She knows house manners and has not had any accidents inside at all. She is quiet and likes to cuddle. She walks on a leash but still needs some work to learn not to pull. She already knows her routine day to day as well. She has no issue whatsoever getting in her kennel at night, and is as quiet as a mouse when she is in there (all night long). The only time she cries is when I leave the house (to grocery shop) without her 😉. She has not been left alone yet so I am not sure how she reacts to that.
