Story
UPDATE MAY 2024 Yay! Camo has reached his goal weight of 70lbs. It was a long journey from 93lbs to here but he did it!  He is more than ready to find his forever home with a family who will shower him with love. He has been in the shelter for about 4 months, but that can feel like forever after being in a home for 4 years. Camo is looking for an active family who can keep up with his active lifestyle and spunky personality. Best suited as an only pet.   JAN 2024 When dogs have to come back to the shelter it is incredibly heartbreaking.  Camo was adopted from us in 2019.  Due to family issues in the home, he has been returned through no fault of his own.  He is now almost 5 years old and wondering why he is here. His world has been turned upside down.   Camo is very friendly and smart!  He has loved everyone he's met here at the shelter.  Catahoula's make loyal companions.  They are working dogs, active and highly intelligent.  They have a gorgeous blue merle coat. He is a big boy and is sadly very overweight!  We have him on a healthy diet now and are giving him daily exercise.  We are looking for an active home that will make sure to keep up with a good exercise regimen and make sure those pounds come off so he can back to a healthy weight.  He Has lost 15lbs so far!!   Camo loved his big fenced yard in his previous home and enjoys running here in our fenced area so we are hopeful his new adopters will have the same so he can enjoy that as well.   Happiest as the only pet. Super smart!  Knows quite a few commands.  Loves to fetch the tennis ball.  100% housebroken.  *Per JSAC policy, puppies and kittens under 6 months will not be adopted to families with children under the age of 6 years.August 18, 2024, 6:49 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. wagoninn.rescuegroups.org Ethel is a beautiful girl who is looking for a home! Ethel is now in a NJ foster home. Ethel is described as calm and low key. Ethel gets along well with other dogs and she does well in her crate. Ethel LOVES treats. She also likes to Netflix and chill. She is house trained and good on the leash. Ethel was recently tested with cats and she did great! Ethel is fixed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. She completed treatment for heartworm. Her adoption fee is $450.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.   How to Adopt Me! If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to  wagoninn.rescuegroups.org . Click on the orange Online Adoption Application button to fill out an application. A Wag On Inn volunteer will be in touch soon! Story
Meet Luna! Saved from Dallas Fort Worth Shelter from euthanasia! She was an owner surrender and was surrendered with another dog as well. She is dog, and kid friendly but we do not recommend her with any small animals at all! She would not be good with them. She loves to get your attention and would thrive in a household that just wants to show her nothing but love and affection. She has nothing but love to give and wants to play. She has great leash manners and is working on her training skills. Contact us or put in an application for Luna!

Story
Cady, Gretchen, Regina, and Karen may have 'mean girl' names, but they are far from that! These sweet girls are 4-month-old Catahoula and Poodle mixes. They weigh between 11 and 15 puppy pounds and will mature to around 45 pounds. These charmers have such unique medium length coats that have some long scruffy fur. Gretchen wears a chocolate and white coat resembling that of a Pointer mix while Regina, Cady, and Karen sport a white and black coat with spots and merle patterns. These girls can be shy at first, but they warm up quickly particularly when given toys or treats. Each pup will make a great family addition. Adopt one of these 'mean girls' today! (ME, 8/1/24)      **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption: $395 which covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip and an Alabama State Health Certificate.   Transport, if needed  $160   We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip . We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs.  August 18, 2024, 2:19 pm
