Our pets are fostered and physically located in Mt.Airy,NC until adopted. Once adopted we can transport to your location or one of our other north eastern delivery locations. This pup is a Catahoula mix. This pup was born 10-20-22. This pup will not be overly large. My educated guess is around 35-40 pounds at maturity. This pup is sweet but shy. He needs an understanding home. This pup is great with other dog. We have started crate training and potty training. I am open to offering a very reduced adoption fee to the right home. This pup will be current on vaccines, deworming, preventives. This pup will be micro-chipped. This pup will receive a physical and a certificate of health prior to going home. The adopter will get all the health records with adoption. Frank KS neutered! We require a prescreen application to adopt. You can get that on our website at www.saveamuttkennel.net

Story
Sadie is an extremely loving 50lb catahoula/Pit mix female who was born on October 7, 2021. What a beauty she is and one with great manners.  She is fully potty trained and crate trained, spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Sadie comes from a neglect situation and is eager to make up for all the cuddles and play time she didn’t receive growing up in her former home. She has an extremely resilient personality and an eager to please temperament. She sincerely craves human interaction and will follow you around the house to be a part of everything you’re doing. When hugged, she likes to hug back by tucking her head around you and pressing in. She cooperates very well for bath time and settles well on car rides. Sadie behaves nicely in public spaces and happily accepts belly rubs from strangers. She has very limited experience around children but is happy to meet everyone she comes across. She is not recommended to homes with very young children simply for the concern of potential knocking them down. She has learned to sit when she wants to be pet, but may occasionally jump up if overly excited. Sadie must go to a home without other pets due to resource guarding around dogs (this does not apply to humans, she is submissive toward humans) and prey drive toward cats.  Her energy level is medium-high. She loves playing fetch to burn off energy, and would probably run for hours if given the opportunity, but she can also settle calmly on those days when it’s stormy or you’re too busy for intensive exercise. She likes to entertain herself with her toys, and is particularly fond of carrying the stuffed toys around to show them off. She needs someone who can deeply connect with her on an emotional level, and would be well suited to the role of emotional support animal (please note: due to resource guarding she is not suitable for the role of service dog, which is different from emotional support animal).    If you want to give this girl a great home to thrive within, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue  at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 18, 2025, 3:31 pm

Story
Tall, blonde, and handsome (with gorgeous partially blue eyes). That's our Grover!Grover is a 7 year old Catahoula/Lab mix and a loved long timer of over 4 years just waiting at the shelter for someone to "take a chance" on him. He was terrified after leaving the only home he had ever known, but has warmed up to his favorite staff members. He has been enjoying all the walks, runs, hikes and even working on his agility skills! Although Grover needs gradual introductions to new people-once he does feel comfortable with his chosen people, he shares his silly and affectionate side. Grover had lived with a small dog in his previous home, and he sometimes forgets his own size and strength by thinking he is a lap dog. He does get along with smaller/medium dogs, but we believe Grover would thrive best in a home without dogs. With Grover's strength and being fearful of loud noises, he is looking for a quiet low traffic adult only home. Grover is still holding onto hope that his forever home is out there. Let's help him get the chance that he has been longing for and deserving of! To apply to adopt Grover, please submit an application at rbari.org/dogs Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: White Age: 8yrs 1mths 3wks
