Story
She is a 8 month old Catahoula Hound Mix. We bought her 2 weeks ago from the Parma SPCA to help us get over the hurt of losing our 14 yr old girl Molly. We messed up by trying to get over the loss of our last dog by buying another one. But it still hurts too much and we need time to get over our loss of our dog Molly. My husband is legally blind that combined with her puppy's energy that is not a good combination. She loves to run and play and would love a fenced in back yard. She loves to give alot of kisses, loves her belly rubbed, and loves to take naps on the couch cuddling up next to you. She loves to eat popcorn with you. She's a very wonderful puppy. Currently she just recently became potty trained, and does her business outside.

Story
Poor Ophelia has not had an easy life so far. Originally, she was kept in an under-sized crate with her other siblings. Before she came to our shelter she had never been in a car, or on a leash. Ophelia is a beautiful girl, and it did not take long at all once she was available that she was adopted. Unfortunately, she spent 9 months in her home before she was returned to us. It seems as though she recieved no training whatsoever in those 9 months, and she has been returned due to frustrations resulting from not being trained. Ophelia has been returned extremely fearful, and she now growls as a response to her fear due to her lack of socialization. Her adopters did not potty train her, and she has very anxious habits such as chewing. She may be crate trained, but her adopters kept her in her crate overnight, while they were away, and as "punishment". So she essentially spent her adopted 9 months in a crate as she did before she came into our shelter originally. We are not trying to deter any adopters, we just want to be transparent of her needs and current state in order to find the best fitting home for her. She has not even been back here for a week, and she is already improving in mood with shelter staff and has begun to come out of her shell again. Ophelia would do best in a quieter home with a very patient adopter. She would greatly benefit from being worked with by a trainer who can provide guidance and consistency for her. At this point in time, we do not recommend that she goes to a home with any other dogs or cats. Due to her fear response of new people, we recommend keeping her seperate when having company over, at least until she is more comfortable. Due to the lack of effort put into her as a puppy, she will require a large amount of patience and work to become the truly amazing dog we know that she can be. She will require and extra special person as her adopter, someone who has experience in dog ownership and even training if possible. We know shes a bit of a "fixer upper", but we also know her perfect person is out there. Ophelia has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and has tested neg. for heartworm which is included in the $155 adoption fee. If you would like to adopt this dog, you must come into the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 12-4. (Closed Mondays & Wednesdays)

Story
Colby wants to go home with you. He came in as a stray in Richfield, Ohio. They did get in contact with the previous owners, who had given him away, and the current owners don’t want him back. He is a super lovable guy. Completely housebroken. He loves playing with other pups!! He does not do well with cats. He is very treat motivated, and eager to learn. He already knows some basic commands. He is somewhat weary of men, but we are working on it. He does love the ladies though.

Thor - 3YO Catahoula Leopard Dog x Bulldog Mix 60+ Pounds Neuter Male, Up to Date on Vaccines, HW Negative, Tick/Flea Preventative Given SPECIAL NEEDS: Blind in Left Eye, Partially Deaf Are you ready to rumble? Shake the ground beneath your feet and rule the world with Thor at your side because he's a big, mean, strong... Snuggler! He's actually not mean at all but a huge lover. Dogs? No problem. Thor rolls over and let's others sniff him before engaging in play to let them know he's no threat. People, kids? Let him come give them some love. Thor came from death row in Florida due to overcrowding. The story goes that a couple found him as a stray in a bloody mess. But, the truth was revealed that it was their dog! He was crated a majority of his life and neglected that he eventually planned his escape by going through a window like a super bada**. (He has never tried escaping through a window since arriving because he's loved. Not even in a car WHICH he's super good in.) His escape left him blind in his left eye but that does stop him from having fun. We were told he was Deaf but learned he CAN hear loud noises. Barking, sirens and if you have a loud voice, he might hear you. This kid is goofy, lovable and well behaved in the home. Thor is great on the leash but is strong, so if he picks up a scent - you better plant your feet or saddle up cowboy. We used a long leash which has helped and don't en counter that problem often. When not having the zoomies outdoors or going on adventures, he loves sleeping and being close to you. He's the perfect friend to keep you company and doesn't mind watching movies when the power comes on. Contact comingbackhomerescue@outlook.com for applications. IMPORTANT: Thor can ge spooked easily (blind) in tight corners with other dogs (not people). Please allow ample space
