Story
Gemini / Female / 2 years / 53 pounds / Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix / Good with Dogs / Good with Cats / Older, Dog Savvy Children / From Tennessee / Fostered in Toronto Meet Gemini! This sweet, lovable and playful girl joined us all the way from Tennessee. Gemini is curious and still gaining confidence in her new world. She enjoys being near her people and makes a great companion. She enjoys cuddling with other dogs, and would love another canine sibling. Gemini is calm and curious when meeting people. She will approach with slow sniffs. While she may take her time to warm up, once you've earned her trust, you'll discover a personality that shines brightly. The bond she forms with those she trusts is truly special. Since Gemini is a playful pup, she is still learning to respect boundaries. Therefore, we are suggesting that she only lives in a home with older, respectful dog-savvy children. Gemini would do best in a quieter neighbourhood, as the hustle and bustle of a big city could be overwhelming for her. Loud noises, cars and crowds of people still make her nervous. Gemini would also benefit from a home with a yard as she is used to having the freedom of open spaces where she feels comfortable. Gemini has always been a wonderful companion to other dogs, and her friendly nature shines through in her interactions. She is learning to read other dogs body language and this is something her adoptive family will need to continue working on. She has lived most of her life outdoors and amongst other dogs. Gemini currently lives with cats and does well. Although Gemini is new to formal training, she is doing great with her learning. Gemini currently knows sit but can be stubborn. Her adoptive family will need to continue working on basic commands with her. She walks well on a leash, but can be nervous of her surroundings and does fright at loud sounds or sudden movements. She is gradually gaining confidence each day. She will need at least 2 walks per day combined with playtime in the yard. Play based training can also aid in building a special bond. Gemini does well within the house considering it is brand new for her. Gemini is crate trained and enjoys the comfort of her own space. She has only been left alone for short periods so far and is crated while alone. Gemini’s new family should be prepared to continue working with her on her obedience skills. Anything beyond the basics and building her confidence will require patience and effort, but the journey will be incredibly rewarding. Gemini is a flight risk and our top priority in her furever home is safety. Her forever family must take precautions to keep her safe and secure, including the purchase of a GPS tracker which will be required for adoption. Gemini has a fractured top incisor, which can be removed if/when a dental is needed in her future. Gemini is a true gem, waiting for a loving family willing to invest the time and effort to unlock her full potential. She's an opportunity for a heartwarming transformation, and she promises a lifetime of love in return. If you’re interested in adopting Gemini, please apply at https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info#adoption-form Gemini adoption fee is $850. Story
HI meet Chico, he is a sweet boy that originally had a family and live with children and then ended up in the shelter because the family could not afford to take him back , He weighs 72 pounds and fully Crete trained. He doesn’t have a lot of training, but he is friendly and loving and good natured and good with all the dogs I’m not sure about Cats, but I really think he would be OK. He doesn’t have a prayer drive. He does need some work with walking will work with that I’m not 100% sure on the mix but it’s kind of what he looks like. He has beautiful Merle coloring. He has just had all of his shots and he will be neutered on Friday and then he will be looking for his new home. He loves playing in the yard and just being in the house he’s clean. He loves being around people. He loves the car. He just an all around happy guy, but he is strong , so someone that knows how to handle a strong boy. He is super sweet and he has beautiful colouring and he’s also been groomed and groomer had no issues cutting his nails cleaning him bathing him so just some basic training so if you’re interested, please ask us for an application, he is located in Bancroft and foster and adoption fee does apply .

Story
Lots of FUN, has an active spirit, Intelligent, companion dog, jack of all trades! Will try anything once to see if he likes it, Animated Project dog needs training- LOVES working with you! King is an energetic, lovely boy looking for a forever home! He has had a hard start coming from a bad situation but has come such a long way. He was brought in by protective animal welfare services (PAWS) neglected and emaciated. He came to shelter in mid April at 22kg very skinny and underweight and has now made it to 27kg and is still gaining! He has done well and is now looking for a new healthy start! He has come such a long way and would love to meet you! King does have some resource guarding with food and will need to be managed. He just needs to know what is expected of him and then he works well with you. He will take food nicely from hand when told gentle - has been improving so much at the shelter - Giving the command leave it and then taking things away works best with him or trading for with other treats/objects works well too! He is still learning but coming along so nicely! King is very intelligent! Once he knows what is expected of him, he will work with you and make it in his routine. He needs to be socialize with other dogs - He has never been around cats, would not recommend cats, and no small children - He is not aggressive, he's just not careful. He loves wandering around outside with you outside- so having a fenced in area would benefit him. Using a long lead would work best for recall training. He is a lot of fun and has so much potential when given the chance! If you would like to come meet King, please contact the shelter at info@uppercredit.com to book an appointment! or call 519.833.2287 if you have any questions!

Story
Rosie is currently fostered in Waterdown, Ontario. She is available to adopt at rebeldogrescue.comAll adoptions with Rebel Dog Rescue have a 15 day probation period. Read about our adoption process on our website. Meet Rosie: Your Future Adventure Buddy!Rosie's story began at a local shelter when she was just a tiny 2-month-old puppy (see her adorable baby picture!). Her first adopter had a busy work schedule, leaving Rosie crated for long hours. After a year, realizing he couldn't give her the time she deserved, he made the tough decision to return her to the shelter. Thankfully, a caring neighbor stepped in to save her from the risk of euthanasia, and Rosie has been thriving in her foster home ever since. We had the chance to talk to Rosie, and here's what she wants you to know about her:A Word to Describe Yourself: Fun and Happy (I can't decide!)Dream Forever Home: I would love another dog to play with. I'd be so happy to have people who would take me on outdoor adventures with them!Favorite Place: OutsideMotto to Live By: Play hard, nap hardWhat Rosie's Foster Family Has Discovered About Her:Rosie is always up for walks, and shes great on a leash! Rosie was thrilled to find out she had fur-foster siblings and plays with them respectfully. Rosie is a smart girl with good recall, knows how to sit, and loves to play fetch. You'll notice that in her pictures, she always has a smile on her face. You can certainly count on her to brighten your day!Rosie is a goofy girl who truly loves life and wants nothing more than to be loved by a forever family of her own. If you're looking for a fun, happy, and adventurous companion, Rosie is the perfect match for you!Name: RosieWeight: ~70lbAge: ~2.5 yearsGender: FemaleBreed: Catahoula mix Colour: Brindle and weightMedical: No concerns Fixed: YesGood with men: YesGood with women: YesGood with kids 0-6: UnknownGood with kids 6+: YesGood with dogs: Yes, gets along with all sizes Good with cats: NoHouse trained: YesCrate trained: YesCrate reactive: NoFood guarding: None seenWalks on a leash: YesEnergy level: MediumRequires detached/single home: Not required, but preferred Skittish/nervous: NoSeparation anxiety: None seenBarker: Average
