Story
Jingles is a sweet boy who wants so badly to feel safe. Right now, he’s overwhelmed by the shelter environment, trembling and seeking comfort from anyone who shows him kindness. He leans into people for security, pressing close and staying by your side. Though he tolerates handling, he’s too scared to take treats or explore on his own just yet. Beneath his fear, Jingles has the heart of a loving, loyal companion. With patience, reassurance, and a calm home, he has the potential to blossom into the playful, affectionate pup he’s meant to be. If you can offer Jingles the safety and understanding he craves, he’ll return it with a lifetime of devotion. Could you be the one to help him find his confidence? Meet Jingles at ACCT Philly any day of the week from 10 am - 6 pm BEHAVIOR NOTES: 03/28/2025 staff notes: KENNEL PRESENTATION: Jingles was in his crate lying down with his ears pinned back. He did a big stretch and a stress yawn while I leashed him. He walked out very slowly and was so fearful on his walk that I needed to use lots of leash pressure and breaks. LEASH SKILLS: Pulls minimal – very fearful on leash . HANDLING : In the room, Jingles slowly put both his paws on me and began shaking and trembling excessively. He never stopped shaking and was trying to seek comfort but was so terrified. He kept stress panting and drooling and kept himself pinned into my body. I tried to get him off and he was so scared he pressed himself in the corner with me. He tolerated all the handling but he is so shut down he cannot do anything else. He did not take treats and was too scared to even move away from me. PLAY: Did not attempt TOYS: Did not attempt COLOR LEVEL & ANY RECOMMENDATIONS: Exp. blue ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in. We are open for adoptions 7 days a week. Story
Star was rescued in Louisiana. A lady that found her called me and said that she could not find a rescue group in Louisiana to take her. She had a gunshot wound through her jaw and ear. She was in pain. She brought her to me in Mississippi, and I got her the medical treatment that she needed. She had jaw surgery, and now her tongue permanently hangs out. We think this makes her uniquely special!! I know that her tongue hanging out may be a deterrent for a permanent home, but Star is such a sweet baby. She cannot help it that somebody shot her. She is a Catahoula hound, and her tail is docked. Star is a very sweet and loves to ride in the car. She loves dogs, and she loves children. She loves to roll over for a belly rub, and she knows the sit command. She is extremely smart. She loves to load up and ride in the car, and I believe that she was somebody’s baby at one time! Star has been in foster care and boarding for a while, and she wants a forever home! Also, if you live out of state, we use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. We alternate between the Northeast and the Midwest every other weekend. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee.

Story
Cookie is a very lovable dog. We found her in a railroad yard in the middle of winter. She is a very energetic who loves to run and play, very easy to train and responds well to commands.Shes spayed, up to date on shots and has a clean bill of health. We are looking to rehome her to a loving home where she has ample room to run. Preferably she would be the only dog. We have a older, larger dog that is much more docile and prefers his naps and can get agitated with her playfulness. We hate to have to rehome her but unfortunately we feel we are not the best fit for Cookie.

adoption donation : $699 weight 34 lbs Age 5 months as of 3/24           Sweet  Gretel and her three sisters, Eva, Schatzi and Freya, were left in the driveway at the Wags rescue in Mississippi, an all too common occurrence. At first we consider them shepherd mixes, but in a dog scanning app, they appear to be more Catahoula leopard dogs with plott hound—definitely mixes of several medium size breeds.     The puppies have been having a grand time playing together and snuggling in a puppy pile to nap. They have all been spayed and given their vaccines and are ready for loving homes. All of the girls are around 35 pounds, they were born in late October. They are friendly and loving and will make great family dogs.    Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs.  Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter at one of the clinics we use.   adoption donation : $699 weight  34 lbs  Age 9 months as of 3/15          Everyone adores Cee Cee! She is just the sweetest, most gentle girl, she lives in a family with other dogs and small kids and is just a cuddly love bug with everyone! Ceci was found abandoned in a rural part of Mississippi last fall, her luck change when she was rescued by Wags. She’s been spayed and given her vaccines and is a healthy happy girl.   Recently Cee Cee moved over to a foster home, she was a little nervous at first but has settled in beautifully. She is very mellow and will make the most awesome family dog,    Cee Cee is still in Mississippi but ready to come up on our transport truck any Saturday. We’d love a home for her with a family that will cherish her and give her the love and attention she deserves.   She will be great in a home with other dogs and cats, fine if she’s the only one. Story
Willa and Watson (siblings) came from the Brookhaven pound. We saw them on Face Book. The Brookhaven pound was going to put these puppies down because they were so shy. They couldn’t find a rescue group to take them. We decided to help them. They are super sweet, but they are very shy. Walter is not as shy as Willa. They feel very comfortable in their environment, but when taken to the vet, they do get nervous. They do respond to love, but they need somebody that will spend time with them. Because we are so overcrowded, they have never had an opportunity to live in the house. They were heavily bonded at the foster’s house, and they loved to play together. The foster did not spend any time with them, but the children played with them some in the fenced in area. They play well with other dogs, but they have never been around cats. Since they have been at Blue Ribbon Kennels, they have been in separate kennels for the past 13 months. They both need a special home with somebody that will spend a lot of time loving them, giving them a lot of attention and being patient with them. Plese help Willa, and maybe even consider adopting both of them! Willa and Watson are in Mississippi. Rescue Riders is a very reliable pet transport and will transport Willa to her new home. This is included in the adoption fee

CHANCE MUST BE ADOPTED SOON AS HIS FOSTER MOTHER CANNOT KEEP HIM MUCH LONGER! Let me introduce Chance, one of the coolest dogs in our rescue! His foster mother has medical issues, and she wants him to find his furever home ASAP! This awesome guy was abandoned in the woods, alone in the middle of nowhere, when he was still a puppy – scared and left to die young. He is extremely sweet. Chance loves toys and playing fetch - playtime is high on his wish list. He is very friendly, never meets a stranger, and loves absolutely everyone he meets. He still has a puppy spirit and needs activity & exercise! He would be great for an active family that hikes or runs, as long as there are cuddles and belly rubs. His leash walking is progressing well. He gets along well with other dogs with proper introduced. He will be happiest as a loving family companion. We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. We'll transport to a destination near you every weekend, alternating between the Northeast and the Great Lakes.
