Hi guys, My name is Tristan. Such a regal sounding name huh? I was presumed dumped with another little doggie friend. He and I were trying to make ourselves at home with some people in a rural area. Needless to say, we were beyond unwanted. We thought we were pretty nice and kind, but the family did NOT. My little friend came into Lucies with a bruised bladder and a dislocated leg. What a horrible excuse for a human. You know those people at that home did that. They'll get their just desserts one day... I was horrified when I came in and would cower around everyone. My only fear is being left alone. I'm slowly overcoming that and becoming a confident boy! Yay me! I'm K9 friendly, so other dogs are ok to be around. I'm ready for my new family and home. I sure hope it's yours!!! *** We strive to ensure our dogs are going to a safe, loving and caring home. Phone interviews are required for all adoptions****

Hi there! My name is Jocko. I used to be a NAVY Seal.....ok not really but hey, I'm pretty cool like that!! Anyway, I was part of a 28 dog hoarding situation, where the wonderful people at Lucies came and took us all in. I was adopted by a family that I thought were really nice, but then it turned out that they didn't really want to have me as their dog. They didn't want to take the time to provide proper training, so I was returned to Lucies. We aren't born perfect - we need guidance from our owners and love and attention! I am leash and crate trained, so that's a plus! I'm looking for a family who will keep me and take care of me for all of years. I'm tired of being disappointed... Inquire about me! I would inquire about you, but you know without opposable thumbs, it's kinda hard for me type ;) *** We strive to ensure our dogs are going to a safe, loving and caring home. How could you not fall for a smile this handsome? Russell is such a flirt – especially for treats! We’re not sure how people aren’t falling for him left and right! Russell is a 3YO Catahoula mix who came into the shelter as a stray with some other dogs on 11/3/23. He’s a very good boy who’s great at leash walking. He enjoys being let off leash to run around in the yard a little. He has an average energy level, so he doesn’t need a ton of exercise. Just a little keeps him happy! He keeps himself entertained, but he’ll also sit happily by your side for as long as you’ll pet him. The boy loves love! Russell has great focus when it comes to treats. Nothing will distract him from his snack! He already knows how to sit on command for one, and he’s sure to pick up more tricks with a little practice.¿Cómo no enamorarte de una sonrisa tan guapa? Russell es un coqueto, ¡especialmente para las golosinas! ¡No estamos seguros de cómo la gente no se está enamorando de él! Russell es una mezcla de Catahoula de 3 años que llegó al refugio como callejero con otros perros el 3/11/23. Es un chico muy bueno que es exelente para caminar con correa. Le gusta que lo suelten con correa para correr un poco por el patio. Tiene un nivel de energía promedio, por lo que no necesita mucho ejercicio. ¡Solo un poco lo mantiene feliz! Se mantiene entretenido, pero también se sentará felizmente a tu lado durante todo el tiempo que lo acaricies. ¡Al chico le encanta el amor! Russell tiene un gran enfoque cuando se trata de golosinas. ¡Nada lo distraerá de su merienda! Ya sabe cómo sentarse a la orden para uno, y seguramente aprenderá más trucos con un poco de práctica.

Heath is such a heartthrob. He’s handsome, fun, athletic, and generous with his kisses. Meet him and you won’t be able to help falling in love! Even other dog`s can`t resist his charms and he`s gotten along well with them in shelter playgroups. Heath is usually the one to kick off all the playing! Heath loves a game of fetch, and he’s really good about bringing the ball back to you like he should. He has pretty good manners, but he’ll get excited waiting for you to throw the ball and his feet will start doing some tippy taps. He’s not all play though! He keeps it balanced by having a calm side. He’ll happily sit on command for a treat and enjoys having you pet him. Heath is an 8YO Catahoula mix who came into the shelter as a stray with some other dogs on 11/3/23.

Freckles is a sweet 6-year-old Catahoula Mix who needs a new home as soon as possible due to our family's significant health and financial struggles. She has been a loyal companion to my mom for the past five years, thriving with kids, adults, and other family pets. Freckles is great with active families but can be territorial with unfamiliar dogs. She also needs a patient owner to help her with storm anxiety. We are heartbroken to part with her but must find her a loving forever home. We’re willing to drive a reasonable distance to bring her to you. If you can offer Freckles the care and attention she deserves, please contact us as soon as possible.
