Story
Meet Channing! This gorgeous girl is Channing. We think she is probably about 3 years old and is currently weighs about 55 lbs. Her markings are even more dramatic in person. She is always on the hunt for rabbits on our walking trails so has a pretty strong prey drive and probably needs a home with no cats. Channing has done well running alongside other dogs in our dog runs. Her DNA test revealed she is German Shepherd, Siberian Husky, Swiss Shepherd, Chow, and Malamute! This beautiful girl recently got to spend time in a foster home and this is what we learned about her: Channing has her potty training fundamentals down, is crate trained, and quickly picked up on other house rules like "no dogs in the kitchen." She is very smart and, with treats, is willing to learn anything you put in front of her. She is full of personality and will definitely make you laugh. Even when she's napping, she will make the silliest little grunts. Channing loves a good soft dog bed or blanket to lay on. She's also a snuggler and would love to cuddle with you. She'd thrive with a playful sibling. Channing loved learning how to walk down the balance beam, climb the tree stumps and has good basic recall skills that she'd love to keep practicing with her new family, along with her basic commands. (Check out her videos on our Dogs of Del Norte County Facebook page!)
