Story
Max is a handsome 4-month-old shepherd-beagle-mix (we’re guessing), who was found as a stray. He’s been very shy while at the shelter but is opening up quickly and starting to show his friendly, sweet personality. We don’t know if Max has ever had his own person but he very much likes the idea of having one! He wants to take you for walks, snuggle up and watch movies, and share treats with you! He would very much like an owner with a heart as big as his and who will adore him for the wonderful dog he is! With his young age and gentle ways, we think Max can join most any family; kids, dogs, cats, etc.; but meet-and-greets with the whole family, 2-leggeds and 4-leggeds, are always welcome and encouraged!Like all puppies, Max will require patience and training while he learns the rules of his home. The adoption fee is $50 and before Max leaves the shelter, he will be neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. A0058001264-Max-28 lbs., HW-, unaltered M

Story
Meet Ryder, a 1-year-old super mutt! This shy, handsome guy arrived to the shelter with a luggage strap tied around his neck and is a bit nervous, but still sweet and polite. Staff and volunteers spent a little extra time with him and now that he realizes he is safe and loved he’s really opened up. Ryder is now interested in making friends with anyone that takes the time to get to know him. Ryder loves treats and happily accept pets, which is lucky because his cute little forehead wrinkles make him so fun to pet!Ryder is just under 30 lbs. and likely won’t get much bigger and the perfect size for almost any size home. Still, he’d love a fenced yard to run and play in! Come meet this friendly, smart, sweet boy and see if he’s one to complete your family! Ryder’s adoption fee is $50 and includes his neuter, microchip, and up-to-date vaccinations. A0058046060-Ryder – 29 lbs., HW-, neutered M

Story
Meet Bear: Our Resilient Australian Shepherd Chow Mix! After a month of getting to know Bear better, we have some exciting updates to share. Bear first came to Pet Savers a few years ago and was quickly adopted. Unfortunately, he was returned to us after a couple of years due to reported aggressive tendencies. While Bear never bit anyone, he show signs of aggression(we’ve never seen any aggressive behavior at Pet Savers). After plenty of rest and a thorough check-up by our vet, we discovered that Bear had a sore neck, likely causing his behavior. Now, he's doing much better and gets along well with everyone he meets at Pet Savers. He may bark a lot through the fence, but once he's out, he behaves just fine. Now that Bear is feeling better, we'll start temperament testing him with other dogs to see if he's compatible. We are confident he would thrive in a loving home with people who understand not to pull on his neck or handle him roughly on a leash to avoid re-injury. Bear is now available for adoption and ready to find his forever home. He’s a wonderful Australian Shepherd Chow mix, up-to-date on all vaccinations, and eager to meet you. Come visit us and give Bear a chance! #AdoptBear #ForeverHome #PetSavers #AdoptDontShop #ResilientBear   November 20, 2024, 5:38 pm
