Story
Notes from foster: Bandit is wonderful! He is housebroken and goes to the door and barks when he needs to go out. He walks well on a leash, but does pull a bit. Bandit is playful with other dogs and would love a pup pal in his new home. He is kid-friendly but can be "mouthy" while playing, so older children may be best. He loves all dog toys, especially playing fetch with tennis balls. When it's nap time he'll sleep in his crate with the door open. He is very puppy-like but not puppy sized- he's playful, paws at you, "chews" on our hands- not in an aggressive way. He is a high energy pup- best behaved when he is tuckered out from play and exercise. If you're seeking a couch potato, he's not the best dog for you! Bandit is super smart and eager to learn! We used treats to train him and he now "Sits" while you open a door, and "waits" to eat his food.

Story
Found as a thin stray by animal control, no one claimed this handsome boy. He likes treats and takes them gingerly; likes to play fetch with a frisbee/ball; is a little unsure of new people, but warms rather quickly with toys and treats. He is a resource guarder with his toys. He is unsure about bring touched until he gets to know someone. He needs someone with patience and understanding of the German Shepherd breed to allow him to come out of his shell. NO KIDS, CATS, OR SMALL DOGS; FENCED YARD REQUIRED; VET'S REFERENCE REQUIREDNovember 3, 2024, 5:07 am
