Introducing Mr. Coconut!🥥 This sweet youngster has goofy puppy energy, only about 18 month old and a fun 🤩 playful guy who loves people and other dogs. He sometimes gets a little bit nervous and growly meeting new people, depending on how they approach him, but warms up very quickly and craves attention. We were told he was a Bichon, but obviously 🙄. It’s possible there’s some bichon in there somewhere but we’re not really seeing much. He’s tall and leggy, 23 lbs with kind of a short goofy face, maybe a Cavaschon, or schnauzer or mini doodle or cockapoo mix of some sort. He’s been passed around a bit through no fault of his own and looking for a permanent lifelong gig. Crate-trained, neutered, doing well with housebreaking, just a nice little guy. He has a thinning coat but doesn’t seem to have any active allergies or infections and we aren’t exactly sure of the cause or if it will grow back in fully 🤷‍♀️ or maybe there’s some Chinese crested or a hairless breed in his mix as well But it’s more cosmetic than anything at this point and not causing an issue. To streamline adoptions, all communication before, during, and after the adoption process is done through email only: we have limited volunteers able to return phone calls. Please check your email regularly for next steps. All our dogs reside in foster care in Northern NJ until adoption and we do not have a central shelter location. We are a small all-volunteer organization focused on rescuing local dogs from area shelters, as well as accepting some surrenders and puppy mill rescues.

Meet Spike.... What a Red Beauty.... Spike and some siblings were pulled from a Wisconsin puppy mill. This is a group of pups that we shake our head to try to figure out why they were not sold privately or to a pet store. This group is gorgeous, we can only assume the pet stores the mill works with already had this breed mix and didn't book any additional pups. Spike is a 10 week old male Cavachon. A Cavachon is a mix of Cavalier King Charles and Bichon Frise. This mix is considered low shedding. Some people with allergies may still be affected by this group. Spike is a gorgeous red color with some white markings. He looks like he should be on a calender. Spike is definitely one of the bigger pups in this group. We estimate his full growth weight to be around 20 pounds. Spike is very playful, social and affectionate. He is having a blast playing with the other pups in foster. ** Current Location: in a foster home in South Korea ** • Rescue Story : Meet Komi👋 Komi was found wandering the streets of Paju, South Korea, in April 2024 when she was about four years old and sent to a high-kill shelter. Thankfully, she was rescued just in time and transferred to a private shelter. Since August 2024, she has been thriving in foster care. With plenty of love and socialization from her foster family and their resident dog, Komi is now ready to find her forever home! • Personality: Active, Friendly, Gentle Komi is a sweet and gentle pup who adores people and loves to play with her humans! At home, she’s calm, happily lounging by your side. But once she’s outside, her playful spirit shines! She is looking for an active family that can offer her ample outdoor activities and adventures as she is highly energetic outside. Also, she’s a quick learner and adapts well to new environments. • Affinity with -Cats: Very curious about cats and tends to chase, but she listens to her handler's guidance. -Dogs: Gets along well with the resident dog in her foster home! She can be a bit too excited when meeting new dogs outside, so introductions should be handled with care. -Adults/Kids: Loves all people! She's friendly but doesn't show much interest in kids. • Shedding: 1-2 (1-10 scale) • Food Allergies: None! • Walking Manners: Komi always gets super excited to go outside, especially when she spots other dogs - careful introduction is required. She tends to pull on the leash but settles down a little after going potty. She would be happiest with a family that enjoys outdoor adventures and running! • Housetrained: Fully potty-trained! She uses pee pads indoors but prefers to do her business outside during walks. • Bath/Brushing: Tolerates baths and enjoys a good brushing session! • Car Rides: No problem! • Separation Anxiety: None! She's perfectly fine being left alone. Just be sure to keep food out of reach before heading out! • Bark or Howl: Occasionally barks at outside noises and when her foster mom comes home. • Likes & Dislikes: Komi loves running and treats! She’s also a big fan of playing with plush toys! • Health: Komi is in great health! Please note: if her fur is trimmed short, you may notice marks around her mouth, likely from being tied up in the past. These marks are completely hidden when her fur is grown out and do not affect her health or happiness.
