❤️🐶 Meet Ruby 🐶❤️ My name is Ruby, I am a 6 years old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, tri-colors. I was rescued from the life of puppy mill in Missouri and transported to Wisconsin to start a new life. I will pick a favorite person in the house to cuddle with and follow around. I am a very laidback and chill sweet lady. Peanut butter is my favorite treat! I am very treat motivated. I am a bit overweight at 27 pounds and will need some help to go back on a healthy weight. I get along great with my foster family’s dogs and children.. No cats! I may have some sort of hearing loss/deafness. But that doesn’t affect my lifestyle. I believe I am almost potty trained! I’ve only had 3 accidents so far out of many days. I go out potty 4-5 times a day when my foster mom is home. No accidents overnight in my dog pen. (Due to noncompliance with cats, I stay in the pen at nights when unsupervised and when my foster mom has to go out.) Otherwise I can be left alone free roam of the house without destroying anything. So free roam home is preferred. Couch is my favorite place to crash and take a nap to snooze away. Fenced-in yard or a trolley is preferred. No tie outs please. No crating home is required as I spent my entire 6 years of life in crate. (Kennel to transport is reasonable.) I am still working on how to walk on the leash and I am learning pretty well! I am microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, vet check, and comes with a CVI Health Certificate. I am spayed also. Disclosures: However, while I was in foster, I developed an open pyometra few days later after the transport and needed an emergency spay surgery to save my life. I was not a good candidate for the spay surgery due to an enlarged heart but I survived! I also do have a grade 2 heart murmur but I will not need to be on medication unless I start showing symptoms. (I am currently recovering from emergency spay on 2/21/24 and needs a bit of time in foster until I am cleared from the vet to be adopted out. I will need my stitches taken out around 3/6/24. Hey there, do you like a challenge and have experience with abused dogs. If so, do we have the guy for you. Ferdinand is a 1-year-old, 9-pound, Cavalier Poodle mix. His is the worst horror story we have ever heard only because all of the horror started for him as a baby and didn't end until he was seven months old. By the time he came to Tiny Paws Small Dog Rescue, his protective instinct was firmly in place. Ferdie still has trust issues especially with strangers. He has recently learned it is OK to be picked up. He runs away from strangers and will hide in the yard when someone comes and wants to interact with him. At night I am his best friend, and he comes up on the bed and snuggles right up against me and I can pet him all over. During the day he allows petting on his own terms, so he has made some progress since he has been here. He even allows family members who visit to pet him as long as they follow his rules, and he needs to be tranquilized for grooming, but we are working on that too. Ferdie is neutered, current with all vaccines and microchipped. Because he is a flight risk, he will require a fenced yard. He is pee pad trained and will use the doggy door to go outside. Ferdie is being fostered in Silver Lake Wisconsin. Meet Marley. He joined our rescue after his owner fell on hard times and could no longer care for him. He is outgoing, friendly and affectionate. Marley loves to cuddle and to curl up with his humans to watch TV and get belly rubs. He is sweet, happy and loves everyone, dogs and humans alike, including kids (not sure about cats yet). Marley, is an 8 year old, 42 lb male, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. His beautiful, wavy white and chestnut fur puts him in the category of a “Blenheim” Cavalier breed and probably purebred. Although this breed qualifies as low risk for allergies, he is not considered hypoallergenic. Marley is gentle, affectionate and eager to please. He will follow you around the house, the yard, the block or anywhere you want to go. Cavaliers are considered easy-going, popular family companion dogs who love to be around people. They are great dogs to have as part of a family and around kids. This breed is said to need regular exercise to help with mental stimulation, which is good because Marley needs to lose a few pounds. This adorable ‘chunky monkey’ just wants to please his humans and share some love. He is up-to-date on all his vetting and vaccinations. He is neutered and already microchipped.
