Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Brad and Scout King Charles Cavalier-Dachshund-Chihuahua Mix Background: Brad and Scout are 5-year-old Cavalier King Charles and Chihuahua mixes who were rescued during a hoarding raid. We received Dad and all the adult puppies. Brad and Scout are the only two remaining from the family and seeking a forever home. The boys have bonded and need to stay together What Brad and Scout Need: These boys are not just looking for a home; they're looking for a best friend. With the right amount of love and patience, you will have two very loving and devoted fur buddies. They are young and have a whole life ahead of them to be your BFFs.  These boys require an ADULT only home. Brad is the most outgoing and loves to sleep with me at night, bury under the covers, fall asleep in my arms, and be in my lap. He is super loving with the person he bonds with and wants to cuddle and be with you wherever you are. Scout is still very cautious and shy and needs time to come around on his own. He loves to be talked to and will take treats. Once he is out of a busy, often chaotic rescue scenario and in a warm and loving home, we think he will come out of his shell with his new family. Brad has a personality in spades. He will be shy and reticent at first, but once he realizes you are a friend, he will start to trust you. Then take him to bed, and by morning, you will have a new best friend. Brad wants to follow you everywhere, and where he goes, Scout goes. You can see Scout wants to be loved and petted as well; he is just so shy at the rescue. How To Meet and Adopt                                                                                       Brad and Scout have been switched to a human-grade diet, avoiding kibble in favor of a healthy, specifically tailored canine feeding plan. We will provide guidance to the new owners on the proper diet and nutrition for them.  To apply to adopt Brad and Scout, there is a special September  "Clear The Rescue" adoption fee of $650.00. All funds will be used to cover medical expenses and help rescue more dogs.  Please fill out the online application form using the following link.  Please be thorough in your answers and expound whenever possible so we get to know you and can make the best match.   https :// rompinpawsrescue.com Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 4:31 pm

Story
Oh hello there! Im Anderson Wallingford. My friends call me Wally but being the distinguished gentleman that I am, I like to make sure everyone knows my real name! Im a six-year-old Cavalier King Charles spaniel - Japanese Spitz mix. I came to Church of Pug after landing in a local shelter and I couldnt handle the stress of the environment. All those dogs barking just stressed me out and completely overwhelmed me. One of the reasons I think I havent been adopted yet is because people think Im a lot bigger than I am. Im barely over 20 pounds and the same size as many of my pug friends. I'm perfectly sized! I am a very smart dog! I am practicing how to "sit", "stay", "come", "down" and "shake"! I am crate trained and like my naps in there. I am an affectionate boy who would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home. I love to go for walks and play! I can be nervous when meeting new people and dogs at first but tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy. Because of my shy nature, I would do best in a calm, quiet home with older or no small children. I do fine in my foster home with other dogs, but I can definitely get jealous and might grumble about it. I just like all of the attention. So, I would do great in a home without any other dogs or also a home thats not afraid to correct me when I get grumbly and teach me its ok to share. Im working hard at potty trained. Dont let my bellyband fool you its almost always dry now. Not familiar with a belly band- my foster would gladly tell you all about them! This might be a little TMI but I'm much better at #1 than #2. My foster thinks it's because I'm too nervous to poop on the leash.
