Story
Sweet Blaze deserves SO much better in life than he has gotten so far. He was adopted 4 years ago with his sister and after 3 years his owner decided he was to much for her to handle and opened the back gate for him 🤯 He was picked up by animal control and his owner was located - She said she was coming to get him - She never did - She was called again and told he was about to be euthanized due to over crowding and she said she was coming to get him - she never did - we pulled this boy the day before he was scheduled to die. Blaze is a high energy lover boy! He needs a brush up on his manners so we will provide a few training sessions at no cost. He is good with big dogs but has a prey drive and CANNOT be around small dogs. Please save this boy. His foster is out of time and he is at high risk for ending back up in a shelter and at risk for euthanasia.

Story
Darla is a 1-year-old lab mix that is unfortunately looking for a new home because the baby in her home is allergic to her😞 so we are here to help! Her current humans say they love the way she smiles when she stretches for her walks in the morning, and that she is the perfect exercise partner! She is a loveable companion that brings happiness and joy to even the darkest of days ☀️ Darla is a very adventurous pup. She loves to socialize with other dogs and play all day. Her perfect home will have treats, toys, and bones - and of course nice spot to sleep and hang out when her humans are gone! 💤 Although her tiny human is allergic to her, Darla loves babies and kids. Humans and dogs of all sizes are her bff’s! Darla’s current mom says she has been her joy and hope in dark times, and she is hopeful for a wonderful forever family for her. 🏡

He was at Birmingham Humane Society. A client rehomed him to me. I already have two dogs. He’s very sweet and a big cuddle bug. I just really don’t have room for him.

Story
Winston is a well-trained boy with lots of energy. Obsessed with playing tennis ball and swimming! If there’s water, he’s getting in it! He friendly but not super cuddly. Not the kind that’s going to snuggle up in the couch next to you. He likes scratches and hiney rubs but when done he will go lay by himself. He does have anxiety which is why an adopter with experience having dogs would be ideal. He’s deathly afraid of thunderstorms (even just rain in general), fireworks and strange noises. There is no reasoning with him during these times. During these times, his body with shake and he will find somewhere to hide…under the bed, in a dark closet, whatever quiet hole he can find for comfort.
