Clifford is a gentle giant with the derpiest personality! He is bound to put a smile on her face. Clifford is about 90 pounds of pure goof! Clifford arrived to the shelter as a stray so we do not know if he has lived with children or other animals. During his time in the shelter, he has not been reactive towards other dogs and may enjoy having a friend! We can always provide a dog meet and greet prior to adopting if needed. We anticipate Clifford doing well with children; he is gentle, friendly and very loving. We do suspect though that he may be too much dog for some small children. We encourage you to bring your children when you come to meet him! Clifford may not be completely potty trained yet, but it can be difficult to tell in a shelter environment. Clifford does know the cue “sit”; the trick is getting his attention first though! He has a bit of a free spirit which often results in his nose leading the way on walks. Luckily, he does not pull much and almost always comes when called. Clifford has been so much fun to get to know better and we know if you meet him, you will fall in love with him too! If you have the space for Clifford and feel your home would be a good fit, we would love for you to meet him!

Sadie was surrendered to the shelter with her friend Brother after their owner found that they could no longer care for them. Sadie is a very sweet, submissive and shy girl who will need a patient owner. Sadie spent a few days pretty shut down in the shelter but is opening up more each day. She has become more comfortable with walking on a leash and is even beginning to play with squeaky toys! Sadie loves to spend quality time with her people and being loved on. Please keep in mind that she will need time to get to know you better and should be adopted into a home that is willing and able to provide her time to adapt. Sadie has been friendly towards other dogs and may enjoy having a nice friend in her new home. A friend that could help her feel more comfortable would be great! Sadie is said to be potty trained and will let you know when she has to go potty. She was not crated when left alone in her previous home and was reported to be such a good girl! She may benefit from crate training so that she knows she always has her own safe space to retreat to if she is feeling a little nervous. When Sadie is relaxed and showing her true colors, she is playful and loves to chew bones. She has been so happy to take nice little strolls outside too! From the information her previous owner provided it does not sound like Sadie has lived with children. Though she does have a very gentle personality she may be wary of small children at first. We encourage adopters to bring their children with them when they come to meet Sadie. Sadie needs to be shown love, patience and grace while she continues to learn. Ideally, she would find an owner who is able to help build her confidence up and continue training. We want nothing more than to see Sadie succeed and would love for you to meet her if you feel that your home would be a good fit!
