Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Cole is a sweet boy who was surrendered to a shelter because the other dogs in his home were picking on him. But Cole has foster fur siblings smaller than him and would do well with similar dogs in his furever home. As always, meet and greets are required with any resident or frequently visiting dogs!&#226&#128&#168&#226&#128&#168He is still somewhat timid with new people and needs slow intros with people who come to visit. Once he knows you, he's perfect! No small children for this guy - Cole forgets he’s a big boy and may knock small children over with his big dog energy! He also forgets about personal space and loves to snuggle up to you, he may even try to sit on your lap! He loves toys (stuffies don’t stand a chance) and going for walks. He can pull in his initial excitement but settles quickly and is responsive to correction. His ears perk up when he hears tongue clicks and he comes trotting right to your side! He’s very good with his harness and leash, and has plenty of energy for medium distance walks. Cole is a very good boy and, while crate trained, is ok to be left uncrated. He does need a home with a fully fenced yard (physical fence, not invisible), as he loves exploring. He’s also very smart and eager to please, making him easy to train.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. &#226&#150&#186 We do not adopt to Canada  due to border restrictions and breed-specific legislation &#226&#150&#186 We adopt & foster locally only ; within an approximately 55 mile radius of Lockport, NY 14094 USA Adoption donation includes Spay/Neuter, Vaccinations, deworming & flea treatment. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi guys! It's me, Milo! It’s been awhile since my last update but man, it’s been a busy year! I’m still a little shy, so I like slow intros but I’m getting better all the time! People can be scary so I like to watch for a little bit before I come over. All the big walks and car rides are helping me with something called socialization. I dunno what that means but I’m working hard on it according to my foster mom. I did a whole bunch of sleepovers at this place called boarding and I learned some new tricks! I walk really nice on a leash, I come almost all the time when called (unless I’m on the tail of a pesky squirrel - then I’m in the zone sniffing them out!). I’m working on place and wait. Foster mom also is trying to teach me “personal space” - she says I’m a chair and bed hog so I need to wait in my spot until it’s ok. It’s not my fault I love all the snuggles!!! And all the kisses!!! But I’ll try anything for some treats! I just learned how to give my paw. I think this is what humans call a handshake? Silly when I don’t have hands! Oh - if you haven’t heard, I love stuffies!!! This is my lab side coming out. Foster mom says I hold the record for the fastest de-stuffing she’s ever seen. I’m so proud of it! But that means I can’t be left unsupervised when she’s gone but I’m very good about going in my crate. I’m looking for a quiet home to give me all the belly rubs, snuggles, treats and stuffies I can handle. I’d love a fenced yard so I can chase the squirrels but I like a good long walk too if I can’t have that. And no kitties please. Not a fan of little animals. Are you intrigued?
