Meet Bella: A Story of Resilience and Hope Bella’s journey began in a mass breeding facility, where her early life was defined by confinement and fear. Used for profit, she spent her days having puppies until the facility closed and listed over 50 dogs on an online auction. Thankfully, Bella was rescued on November 14, 2024, marking the start of a new chapter in her life. When Bella arrived, it was clear her world had been very small. Fearful of human contact, she would run at the slightest approach. With time, patience, and love, Bella has made remarkable strides in her foster home. She was allowed to decompress and observe the household routine, gradually finding comfort in the company of her foster siblings. She formed a special bond with Bruno, a calm Frenchie, often curling up beside him for reassurance. Bella’s progress is nothing short of inspiring. Initially hesitant, she now willingly jumps on the ottoman to be picked up and even seeks out her foster family during mealtime. Food-motivated and eager to please, she takes treats gently and waits patiently when corrected. Bella enjoys car rides, where she settles and sleeps peacefully, and she is both pee-pad trained and comfortable going outside with other dogs. Bella also loves to follow her foster family around the house, curiously trailing behind to see where they’re going before darting off to find them. Hearing her name now makes her tail wag with happiness—a heartwarming sign of her growing trust and joy. Her favorite moments include meal and treat times, and she lights up with excitement each night when it’s time to go to bed. Bella adores being carried upstairs, knowing a treat and cozy snuggles await her. What Bella Needs: Bella requires an experienced and patient owner familiar with the needs of skittish rescue dogs. Someone who celebrates small victories and provides a stable, loving environment will see Bella continue to flourish. She thrives with the company of a calm dog, who helps her feel secure.
